It's an excellent machine Scoopy. Its the only machine i like to swing now that I'm used to 2D graph.
Good luck hunting 😊
Nice hunt. It looks like the Manticore is a great beach machine.
Thank you! I was a little intimidated at first, but in a way it's almost more intuitive than the Equinox!
Hi Scoopy Joe, That's a unique silver ring really odd style , is the stone garnet ? I've got a very humble XTERRA PRO and my first learning curve was my backyard/mine field of everything from foil scales from some kind of deco piece to the smallest metal nut and rusty nails etc every where I swung the coil there was a signal hence minefield and that's an area of about 6 feet diameter and beeps on every swing don't have beaches out here in Mid-Western Queensland Err Desert LoL, Cheers Mate 👍👍👍😎💨🏴☠☮☮☕☕💡🔧🌈
Thanks! I was very happy with that find, I'm pretty sure the stone is amber.
Sounds like you've got your work cut out for you down under! Happy hunting!!
Nice hunt. I am seeing what MineLab is putting out in June. I just need a good backup. I still live my nox800.
The Equinox is still a great machine as well, what are we expecting from Minelab in June?
@@ScoopyJoe There is a new lower price metal detector coming out to compete with the others out
Interesting, I wonder if they're adding Multi frequency to the Xterra Pro or something.
Manticore looks neat, after you have a bunch of hours on it you should do a review video
I definitely will, I plan to make a video testing various targets soon as well. Thanks!
Those screen protectors scratch the screen, I used one om my E Trac
Thanks for the warning! I have another screen protector underneath, directly on the screen, so I think it should be fine.
Loved this video. Where can I get a hand grip like the one on your scoop handle?
I purchased mine from Forest City Metal Detectors: forestcitymetaldetectors.com/products/detectorpro-raptor-pull-handle
Although, I recently removed it from mine because I found I was never using it and it was mostly just getting in the way.
Toonie's and loonies were made of better metals pre2012, on the legend sometimes I think I am digging a copper penny when I got a older toonie, I dont fully understand what you mean by spread on the 2d map, but it's probably because it's made of 2 rings that it wasn't perfect round if it wasnt
I've found that the 2D map doesn't always show the shape of the target per-se, for the toonie the map showed a squiggly line that jumped around from the ferrous limits and across the conductivity scale, I noticed for pulltabs it seems to always give a vertical smudgy line from the top of the ferrous limit all the way to the bottom but at a very narrow conductivity range, so it might be possible to use that to have a bit more confidence avoiding some pulltabs in the future.
Welcome to the Manticore club!
Thanks! It's good to be here! 😎
