I just bought the black version for my 4x4. Have you had this out in the sun at all? I have heard that the display washes in bright indirect light. I've already been disappointed by a couple other brands. It looks overcast in your video but the phone seems to be picking up the display just fine - other than the LED sequencing. Do you have any issues seeing the display at all?
No, not yet. Still have to replace other parts before I get into that stuff. I installed new switches and breakers last week and have new gauges coming next week. Gotta get the basics fixed first lol.
Are you still happy with the unit after a few weeks? I have a 07 240 Cruise and I plan to do exactly what you just did. I hate my current headunit.

I used the antenna that came with the boat. I did not use an amp. It was loud enough for us but an amp would make it louder.

Is the Pyle head unit actually waterproof? I can't find anywhere that says that it actually is other than the Amazon description.
I have a cover for it so not 100% sure. But it works fine for me and I’ve used it a good bit so far this summer.

You can adjust the brightness but I had a Bimini top up most of the time too so I never had any issues.
