- Abandoned Bojangles - Fayetteville, WV. This is one of our videos from the summer of 2020 that never got uploaded. A rarity, Bojangles doesn't often close restaurants so I was a bit surprised to come across this.

Living in North Carolina, it's rare to see vacant/abandoned Bojangles since it's so popular here. That Mt. Airy location looks like an older one.
I live in raleigh nc and every bojangles you go to around the area are always packed lol

This is hella weird to see.........vacant Bojangles. Being from NC's capital, people definitely fill up the locations down here.

I’ve been to Bojangles once. It’s a great restaurant, I’ve read where Bojangles is coming to Columbus.
The building is still in good shape.
There's an abandoned Shoney's in Fayetteville, It is right next to a Big Lots, and an abandoned Kmart is also close to there.
Hey Jeremy I'm here to update you on the abandoned kmart in oak hill it is now a medical facility they are doing vaccines near that or they used to thank you for asking about
I've heard bojangles is coming to Ohio in the future. I love some bojangles
They are. They been eyeing Cincinnati but now has a Columbus Ohio division now. 15 new locations coming to Ohio in the next 7 years. More is coming to Ky, PA, and New states like NY and TX.

This one wasn't open for long, im from NC and moved to northern WV in 2014 and we would drive to the one in Princeton, WV because it was the closest one. I guess WV doesn't appreciate some of the best food ever!

The dirty rice at Bojangle's is awesome. I heard recently that Popeye'e dropped their cajun rice from the menu. The Bojangle's rice is much better IMO.
Much to your displeasure, BoJangles went into an expansion where 1 franchisee owned alll of the Bojangles except Bluefield wv. there was 2 Bojangles in Huntington, 1 in Cross Lanes, 1 at Corridor G, the last one in Kanawha City. The franchisee "let go"of all of the above mentioned restauramts and all closed abruptly.
Between 2018-2020 quite a few bojangles closed throughout West Virginia
Thier are several Bojangles locations near me and one of them has the exact same interior and exterior design as this one.
The Cajun Chicken Biscuit combo is amazing, I usually can't decide between the Fries or the Bo-Rounds. But great food all around.
We have Popeyes in NYC , but would like to try Bojangles if we had one here

Come to Southeastern Michigan. Abandoned Sears galore. One in Lincoln Park, MI and Taylor, MI.
i remember seeing this when i was on a trip with my family around a year ago. I wasn't sure of what the location was but I remember hoping you were going to a video on the location eventually
I live in WV and several bojangles opened only to soon close. I heard that these were franchised and there was an issue with the franchisee and that is why they closed
Bojangles has closed many locations on I64 in Kentucky. But have announce 45 new locations in Ky, SC, NC, TN, and Ga and with 15 new locations in Ohio. Also one new one coming to PA and WV with new state of NY and TX being added some also.
Reading pa is about 40 minutes north from where I live at.
We in Leesburg Florida had one but it closed several years ago.never made it to ting that place,,,
At the intersection of poplar street and noblestown road in greentree/Pittsburgh there is an abandoned first national bank. The perfect location for this.

One thing that intrigues me from that recent Rax video, are those roast beef sandwiches better than, say, Roy Rogers (had them in NYC once when that was a thing and they're definitively quite better than Arby's, which NEEDS THE HORSEY SAUCE to get anywhere)?

There were quite a few Bojangles that popped up in WV like 3 years ago and all of them shut down about a year ago at the same time. It was weird.

Damn thats wild Ive never seen an abandoned Bojangles and this stripped down....that towns tastebuds must be off for them not to keep it in business lol. Luckily I live in the only part of my state with them :)
this location was open less than 2 years, same way in Beckley, not far from there
Same for two in Huntington,WV less than 10 minutes away from each other.
Bojangles made a huge effort to open brand new restaurants a few years ago here in West Virginia. They spent a pretty being chunk of change to build and furnish all these facilities. Then a year later they closed them all. A few have been repurposed into Cook Out brand burger restaurants. To be honest, the Bojangles weren't very good, at least where I live. Overpriced. Sub-par food. The 30 year old KFC was better than many of these places, as far as chicken goes. Why and how Bojangles took such a huge loss on these restaurants is beyond me.

They opened this bojangles closed it, then the owner opened one in beckley. Closed it again in beckley.

There is one bojangels in reading pa that's the only one I know of in pa other then that you eaither have to go down around Washington dc or Virginia
Sadly all the Bojangles seem to have closed in WV except for Princeton the last I checked. Sad to see all these restaurants close after such a short time. Sadly they just didn't do that great of business. I know quite a few of them have been converted into different places. Ones in Huntington and Beckley were converted into Sonic. Also I think one in Charleston was converted to Cookout and another in Huntington was converted into a car wash strangely. Either way, the expansion apparently flopped. Although I have not seen the Sonic in Beckley not doing great business either. Not sure if people just don't care about Sonic or if the location is just cursed or something. It is further than the other fast food places from the interstate. The Bojangles in Fayetteville though was hard to miss going along 19.

So Bojangles went public several years ago.to please the stock holders they started throwing up stores left and right.it didnt matter if it made since to open in that certain area or not, just open one. Low sales made them rethink so they closed low performing stores.the company was sold a couple of years ago and they went back to being private.now they are more stable and are growing again the right way.

This bojangles was pretty good when I ate there once from what I heard this place is supposed to domino’s pizza.
So which one do you go to here in Winchester Virginia the one on Route 7 or the one on 50 West I had their chicken sandwich before it's not bad
I've actually been to both! Just depends on which one is faster to get to based on Google maps from my area and traffic, etc.
@@WallieB26 hell yeah buddy yeah they're not a bad place to eat I finally tried it not too long ago I just wanted to try out their chicken sandwich but yeah let you know there's a whole bunch of more new abandoned stuff around here if you want to do videos and stuff there's an old Pizza Hut here that's about ready to be torn down I did a video on it myself but just to let you know I think it would be coming down soon
When you go to Winchester you should visit Roy Rogers. They have great fried chicken, burgers, and roast beef sandwich. Fewer locations these days but they are expanding again in Virginia, Maryland, and Pa.
@@Mr.TylerSC sad to say but that location just shut down about a few weeks ago the Roy Rogers I live here Winchester I went there a few days before they shut down and I ate a Philly cheese steak sub it was good

This makes me wonder if they opened a new location and just took every single bit of equipment from this one and moved it to the new location
They usually un -brand and paint over the signature orange awnings when they relocate to a new location. That prototype doesn't look that old to be replaced.
