Guide To Unlock The 90s Kids: You unlocking them by getting 120 stars, defeat bowser 10 times, walk around the star fountain 1,000 times, do the mario in front of peaches castle, you then put your cartrage of super smash bros melee and beat the game then take out the cartrage, tutn off the n64, then you go run around naked in public, die in real life then repawn back in, turn your n64 system back on, do the distraction dance for 10 hours, go into the castle courtyard and you will see the star growing in there, you then punch it and ground pound it a bunch of times and the star will break to reveal the 90s kids. Thats how you unlock them. :)

Mario could have bonked, as the footage only starts as soon as he's rotating, but based from his position, I can't see any wall he could have hit, unless it was the penguin, which I don't think you can even interact like that.
