I love the sound of Dutch stories in the morning thanks gentlemen.
Shit, me and my siblings used to go back and forth with chops. THAT SHIT HURTS!
I know that’s right! 😂
I can bet the Dutch is handed out a bunch of receipts for those punches😮
Realistic working punches aren't as easy to throw as you think, not when surrounded by a bunch of screaming fans, some wrestlers can get caught up in the energy, some can have a bad personal day and not be concentrating on your safety, some people just have bad aim and some are just assholes. But as I've said before, back in the day if you couldn't throw a working punch right then it was better to throw stiff than miss completely. Now slaps are a different matter, the only way for them to work is if you can hear the Smack, and Physics 101: if the fans can hear it the wrestlers can feel it. Quite a few of the wrestlers took pride in their slaps in fact, this is a career of Tough Guys after all, if you could stand there and take a Big Show slap, that was a locker room Right of Passage, you were officially one of the Boys after that.
Punches are illegal so you're supposed to throw without a closed fist anyway
Blackjack and Wahoo smacked each other hard it would echo 🤣 but they traveled together and knew each other😊
Don't think i would want to get in the ring with Gunther.😳
This is why those 80s matches are my favorites. Those guys worked stiff! Watch Hogan vs. Orndorff, Valentine vs. Piper, or any of those old school affairs. They would really lay it in.
Hogan and Orndorff they started at the same time maybe im wrong but they know way back.
Hogan was actually one of the easiest guys to work with, I have never heard anyone who didn't love being in the ring with Hulk as far as the match work goes, being in the ring with him was like having the night off and getting Paid doing it. Valentine and Piper were another matter, they weren't torturers but they were snug.
Anyone from stampede ...safe stiff ...well not dynamite kid 🤷🏾♂️
Didn't Vader and Foley basically smack the hell out of each other for real when they were programmed together?
Hey Dutch have you ever heard that ghost story from Telly Savales
Gypsy Joe tried that crap with New Jack and Jack was the one guy in his career to show Gypsy Joe that he wasn't having none of it.
@@ithinkaboutthings9052 Watch the match and see for yourself before you call something a lie.
Gypsy Joe was like 100 years old mate
@geedee1264 He kept no selling Jack's offense and head-butted Jack in the nose. 100 years old or not. He asked for it.
@@mr.joedirt8583 Yeah and he had a reputation as a stiff prick in his prime from what I gather but you still don't beat an old man half to death in a work. I bet if New Jack in his crippled years gets a legit battering off some young gun there'll be a lot of people pissed off, even though Jack tried to kill someone in the ring
@@mr.joedirt8583 hmmm maybe those words don't go together so well, reputation as a stiff.. hole
Wahoo was vicious. I don't know how Flair could take it all those years.
Yep
Kurt angle and aj styles were super stiff in TNA. Low ki was just unnecessary stiff
Guys who slap hard AF and make no noise amuse me. Like they weren't taught correctly or something lol
They're marks that's why...overdone trendy chops...slaps more than good chops. Indie bush league shit ....today's guys wouldn't last in old days. They'd be ran.out! Rightfully so too.
Indie wrestler here. Yeah chops suck!
