- Song: Bootup from Ultima VI / 6
Keyboard: Yamaha PSS-470
Performed by me.
This keyboard actually shares the same soundchip as the soundblaster, which is why I wanted cover this song with it. This keyboard also has really tiny keys, which are a bit of a pain to play on.
For more info on soundblaster keyboards watch this video: • Meet the little-known ...
Also wanted to show my hands as I played it, so I rigged up my phone above my keyboard. Ended up using a keyboard stand and some poster board cut out as an enclosure for my cell phone.
Also acts a bit as a tutorial for people looking to learn the song. Sadly there's not too much sheet music for this one.
If you look closely you can actually see the shaking of the camera, next time I'll have to use thicker poster board lol.
Thou hast found a leather helm, a chain armour, a spear, a spear, a spear, a spear, a spear, a spear, a spear, a spear, a spear, and 489 gold pieces...
Man took 8-Bit guy's idea, but made it better and extended.
I never played U6 til the 8-bit guy played the track in his video. Without knowing it before, I was flashed right away. Masterpiece.
But sadly 8-bit keys will rarely come back at any time soon.
Something about the Avatar back on Earth and just hanging out in his modern 1990 living room watching TV always cracked me up.
Awesome cover! It's dead-on and adding the game visuals is great too!
Thanks! I'm happy you like it, I'd like to do more of these someday when I have time.
@@Rititundo I would've liked to hear this without the PSS reverb/auto sustain or whatever it was called on these
Nice OPL2! (Yamaha YM3812 Sound chip)
Absolutely amazing. One of the top 10 best PC soundtracks of all time.
I still can't believe how amazing this sounds. I think this sounds even better than the MT-32 or original Adlib versions.
i feel it takes the best from both and mixes it together
It is just a sounblaster with keys so it sounds like a soundblaster version ofc
@@lordjackson I agree, it takes the FM tunes and cimbines it with darker atmosphere of MT-21.
Hello, and welcome to another episode of the 8 -Bit Guy
Bringing tears to my eyes. One of my favorite pieces of music ever

You could recreate this soundtrack with a keyboard with a Ym3812
If you don't write it down' I'll never notice that the camera is shaking.
man mix in some guitars with the PSS 470 and damn.
Rock on Rot'.
You did this right! The 8-bit guy fucking butchered it so bad.

How is going on with your game?
Good, I'm about to release a big update to the beta. Plus I've been updating the Kickstarter every month if you haven't seen it.
Rotondo I usually check Steam Page
I'll try to keep the steam page updates on par with the Kickstarter ones, sorry about that.
Rotondo Thanks for the information.
