I am from the Philippines, and when Selena died, I was in fifth grade. But then, I love her more than any other artists/celebrities/entertainers, even in my country. I think it's because Selena perfectly made herself appear just like the rest of us, the ordinary people, with dreams and wishes, who struggled, and who have big hearts to reach their dreams.
This is one of those movies where as you get closer, and closer to the end of the series, you are hoping that Selena doesn’t die even though you know she will.
I truly wonder what Yolanda thought she was going to get out of this?? Like it’s still crazy knowing she died. And such a tragic way. I can’t even imagine how Selena felt in her last moments and what was going on in her mind. Yolanda truly till this day has no remorse or sympathy for what she did. She won’t ever tell the truth the true motive behind her reason to kill Selena.
Well she thought she’d get away with stealing funds and taking advantage of Selena for her own benefits. In regards to the killing, idk. Maybe she hated Abraham so much for CATCHING her being shady that she figured she would mentally hurt him in the worst possible way……..by killing his daughter.

All those people at her family’s house. With all the flowers, candles, and pictures of herself. That shows how many people love Selena. May she rest in peace.
The ending of this series made me cry more than the original movie with Jennifer Lopez. Personally, Selena’s tragic death was the saddest celebrity death I’ve ever experienced because to this day it still makes me sad and for some unknown reason is the only celebrity death that feels personal to me.
I totally agree. No celebrity death has affected me as much as Selena’s. It still hurts watching her be so happy and successful not knowing what would happen to her. She was too kind for this world.

I would never forget the day Selena was taken from us. When my mom called me to tell me to turn on the news that Selena had been shot and I immediately changed my channel to watch. I broke down when I heard she was dead. I truly loved her music for yrs. We were the same age 😢
Well technically speaking Selena wasn’t Mexican. Selena was an American, and a Texan with a Mexican family heritage. Her first language was English. She didn’t start learning Spanish until she started singing and even then at first she was just singing Spanish phonetically. She became fluent later but her first and natural language was English.
This is the part of the series where we, Selena fans, wish a time machine exists so we can jump right into it and stop Selena from going to Yolanda alone.
She was told multiple times not to visit Yolanda alone. Selena gave her the benefit of doubt even when multiple people told Selena they felt Yolanda was dangerous. Even Chris said her kindness is what ultimately caused her death.
I agree, like I wish I could just rewind time, and say “Hey Selena, why don’t you wake Chris and get your records and stuff from Yolanda? You don’t have to go alone.

She died on Friday, but in my little town the news arrived 2 days later. I was coming home from Sunday school and my mom told us. I was 9 y.o. but I remember that was the first time I had that feeling of loss for someone, as if Selena was very a close cousin to me.
It makes me angry that Yolanda took Selena's life in such s cowardly way shooting her in the back like she did. I can't even imagine what Selena was thinking when she was lying on hotel lobby floor dying. As she laid there bleeding out she had to know she wasn't going to make it. I'm sure she felt betrayed by Yolanda who she'd treated like family, and i even imagine she was thinking of Chris and all her family during the final moments of her life. She probably wished her family and her husband was there with her while she was taking her last breaths. Her family was very close to each other, so I'd say it hurt her knowing she'd never see them again. Not even one more time before she left this world. It's just heartbreaking that Selena was all alone during the last moments of her life, since she was rarely alone ever during her life. It still breaks my hesrt today that she had to suffer like she did because she was really a wonderful person, and a fantastic singer. I'm so happy that her legacy is still alive, and strong so many years after her death. I think that it says a about her life, and how she lived it with dignity, love, strength, innocent to a fault she had to much trust in others even in the end. Her complete trust in others was what ended up costing her life. However, I don't think it was her fault that she was murdered, but Yolanda's fault for taking the life of someone she said she loved. If that's what loving some one looks like I wouldn't want to see what hating someone looked like really. Yolanda should spend the rest of her life in s prison, and i feel like she shouldn't get paroled ever after what she put Selena, Chris, and Selena's family through that day in 1995 shame on you Yolanda the life you took was just about to take off and the sky was the limit. It's so hard to think of the what if's in the death of Selena it makes me angry and so sad all at the same time. I believe she'd had kids with love of her life Chris, and that she'd kept on singing until they grew old together. What a waste of life Yolanda is, if she does ever get paroled she better hide out for the rest miserable life on this earth. She is one if the most hated women in the world, and if let outta jail will probably be killed before even a yr. passes. Don't know if she does get killed that she deserves to die, but she does need to suffer for the rest of her life since she took an amazing, loving soul from all who loved her si much. Time will tell the rest of this story, and before it's all over with I hope that Yolanda does admit her guilt, and shows some kind of remorse for what she did to so many ppl.

i loved selena so much and she was such a beautiful and gorgeous woman, had her whole life ahead of her, my heart breaks for her family and chris, i hope yolanda rots in jail for the rest of her life and goes to hell for what she's done, she literally took a family member that we loved and cared about so much (yes im irish, german and cherokee, but selena was like family to all of us no matter what our race is) i would have loved to see her and chris have beautiful children together and them growing old together, she deserved that much happiness in her life.

Friends, I know Selena's loss weighs heavy on our hearts...we lost a woman who could heal with words and whose very presence made the world a better place. Where is Selena's bus Big Bertha now.
Good question her dad must of gave it away
It's been retired.
This hit everybody no matter their race etc just so sad gone too young
What a day
The whole world stopped breathing when Selena died. She’s an icon, who will always be remembered❤
I saw this episode and it made me cry
The song in this scene, Feelings, was an unreleased one dating back to 1975. I've only heard Jose Jose's version but damn, to find out that Selena recorded a version of it, in english, It feels heartbreaking to hear it with this scene....
It still hurts in the Mexican community 💔🇲🇽
i loved selena so much and she was such a beautiful and gorgeous woman, had her whole life ahead of her, my heart breaks for her family and chris, i hope yolanda rots in jail for the rest of her life and goes to hell for what she's done, she literally took a family member that we loved and cared about so much (yes im irish, german and cherokee, but selena was like family to all of us no matter what our race is) i would have loved to see her and chris have beautiful children together and them growing old together, she deserved that much happiness in her life.
Man this scene got me fucked up ☹️
🎶Feelings nothing more then feelings trying to forget my feelings of love feeeeeelings woah oh oh feelings woah oh oh feel you again in my arms🎼

She died on Friday March 31, 1995 when I was 3 months old I was a baby
I was born in 1995
i was born 8 nov 1994 and i was around 2 months old when selena died
I wasn’t even close to being born in 1955
@Bettydale235 u been 1995
i was in 6th grade and they announced this over the speaker system. crazy
Yolanda bought that gun with every intention of murdering Selena when she knew Selena was now seriously doubting her. She was obsessed with her and her family and friends had that bad feeling. Now she's making up crude allegations and implications of her with her delusions.
Yolanda will never be eligible for parole because ppl in free society certain ppl wont forgive and WILL retaliate. Selena was Like royalty in the latino community
23?? she was only 23??? omg :(
Those hearers were shocked! 😲
That’s what made me cry.
even the reporter seemed shock his voice was shaky
@@usedcondom8481 The reporter is an implied example of a crybaby. No I do not blame him!

I'm from Corpus Christi.
Everyone over a certain age definitely has a "where I was when I heard Selena died" story.
I'm watching Selena on CZcams
Friends, I know Selena's loss weighs heavy on our hearts...we lost a woman who could heal with words and whose very presence made the world a better place. But she lives on in our hearts and memories and in her music.
As for Yolanda - she fools no one with her false truth. She will face justice soon enough, and from the Highest Court there is, the one that still matters. Her justice will come from God.
