    I just returned from a 3 day motorcycle trip. Each day a deer came within a inch of killing me and multiple times a day. I’ve made my decision…I’m buying a can am. The deer caused me so much anxiety it totally ruined my trip. I know when I hit one that I’m going down and eating asphalt. At least on a spyder hitting a deer or large dog doesn’t mean your going to hit the pavement. I’m 38 and my friends are already laughing but I don’t give a shit. I have no ego to feed and I want to enjoy the road and wind without the out of control deer population killing me. I been riding motorcycles for 15 years or so but this last trip really shook me up. It’s not IF I hit one of these deer but WHEN. I’ve been lucky and never been down before but I feel like my luck is running out. We have enough to worry about from other cars and drivers, gravel, and so on. But if I’m going to hit a deer I would rather my wheels stay up.
    Sorry for my rant. Awesome machines brother. I gonna grab me one sometime before fall gets here 👍🏻

    Got the 2021 F-3S with 705 miles. They tell me the guy who traded it in got an RT cause the guy and his wife wanted to tour more than the S would accommodate. Love mine, mostly ride alone but the wife will probably ride sometimes. Mine didn’t come with the rear seat. I may upgrade to a Corbin front/back seat with the backrest. Had that setup on my 1997 Valkyrie STD. We loved it. Felt hard at 1st, however I learned pretty fast how it offered great support that would provided all day comfort! They are pretty costly but what’s not in the biking world? The Corbin backrest pulls out of the back and moves up to the driver’s position in seconds! 👍🏻

    Hi Mate great Video I have a 2019 F3s and love it, my only complaint is I keep bottoming with the standard shocks, other than that I have added a pedal box (pleases my want to be boy) a handbrake from ISCI, floor boards same as your F3T, I do have the rear carry all same as your F3T, and a K5 Dash Cam from INNOVV for those unfortunate moments (its is not that good for vlogging). I think the F3 and F3s are a awesome machines that can be a jack of all trades but not a master of all things unless you want to spend the money where as the F3T is for the relaxed touring and riding.😁

    Thank you for a great review & run through of both your spyder's, very informative. I'm still not 100% sure if I should go with the F3S or F3T , Im leaning more toward the S as I will never tour on it with my spinal disability, that's difficult/painful enough in my Lexus 460 Barge. I only have two real concerns, one if your an ex-biker you may be able to help me with, the second only a 30 minute test ride will let me know if my spine will allow me to buy one. Being an ex-biker myself (before my RTA & damaged spine & now FSHD between my ''behind'' & shoulder blades) my concern being that in an emergency situation where Ive got to hit the brakes I will naturally reach for the handle bar brake leaver which isnt going to help me much. I am aware of a (I think) ISCI after market handle bar brake leaver system I'm very tempted to buy & have fitted before I pick the beast up & ride her home. Any thoughts, words of wisdom you can share with me would be very much appreciated. Wishing you health & happiness, Mike S.

    • @spyderryder
      @spyderryder  Před 2 lety +1

      So the F3 is really fun to ride but the rear shock can be soft and easy to bottom out and with spine issues that might be an issue. The F3t is softer and adjustable with air. The F3 and F3T are feet forward will that be OK? If not you Get ultimate floorboards which are great and will let you put your feet straight down.
      You can get the hand brake but I have never had issues finding the brake if I need to stop fast..it's a very fast learn you only have a foot brake!! Best wishes and let me know how it goes! Good luck

      @@spyderryder Thank You for sharing your thoughts, it really is appreciated. Feet forward / floorboards will be ideal & give me the chance to move my feet/legs when comfort requires it. My spine isnt in great shape with four crushed vertebrae its mechanics make me lean forward but now with no muscle between my back side & shoulder blades standing with a strait back is a physical impossibility, sitting is slightly easier but Im never really going to know until I throw my leg over one to prove if its possible or not. I have my fingers crossed that will happen soon but my local can-am dealer is 120 miles away the next 435, sadly they always have stock where the local one hasnt had anything this year, a drive of 400 plus miles would wipe me out for two days.. I will drop you a line when I've had a test ride. Thank you again for your thoughts, it is appreciated. Wishing you health & happiness, Mike S

      @@willbk392 Hi Will Bk, thank you for your thoughts, I have finally made a decision & am going to buy an F3S given a test ride doesnt leave me crippled for days after (as & when the local dealer can make that happen, alternatively it means a flight up country to a local airport & then hire a car for a 50 mile hike to that dealer.) all this to get a leg over. That sadly doesn't bode well for buying one & then getting it shipped to me, there are times I really do think we are truly a third world country. (one step at a time) Floor boards, I totally agree, just be able to move (fidget) safely is on! Yes Ive been giving the back rest some thought, on the positive side if I can sit close enough to it perhaps it will let me flex over it now & then. On the negative, my spine protrudes / is proud of my back ( imagine ships keel, I cant lay on my back without rocking to either side) However, I think the back rest is a good idea unless I was rear ended, that could be difficult. Just wondering if your back when you got home comment is down to the vibration/harmonics of the spider that literally free's up/relaxes the vertebrae effectively giving you a massage over that 1200 miles. If that happens to me I'll end up living on it. Thanks for your thoughts, very much appreciated. Wishing you health & happiness fella !!
