  • The "Special" comes in one color, Liquid Titanium but pictures do NOT do this color justice, it looks stunning in the sun. This is my favorite Can-Am, if I were in the market to buy a trike, this would be the one sitting my garage.

    After doing 250,000 miles on powered two-wheelers, I bought a 2019 F3-S last year. It is fantastic. I still ride conventional bikes, though.

    I bought a 2019 F3 back in June and unless it's raining I use it as my daily driver. Honestly in two months I've burned barely half a tank of gas in my truck. The Spyder is fun, fast enough for my liking and comfortable as hell. Also, I've been riding motorcycles for 30 years. I can still ride but wanted to try a spyder out of curiosity and I'm sold on them.

    It's great finding one of your videos! I am looking at getting a Can Am Spyder F3 or F3-S. So these videos are something I pay close attention to. Your reviews are true honest and very professional and enjoyable! Love the country of Germany! It adds to the video and is just a perfect background! A very thorough review. One Cool Dude. Peace.

    I found that pushing the bar forward on the right, to go left, worked for me. Also agree with you on the F3. I feel like I sit "in" the bike where the regular can-am it feels like you sit "on top" of the bike.
    Transmission is much better than I expected. Only negative is you have to be very careful where you buy one as the alignment is critical. Some dealers are good at alignment and some are not. I've ridden both. The bad alignment is no fun to ride and the bike twitches all over the place!! So be careful and demand a laser alignment.
    Excellent review, as usual.

    Rented a Can Am RT here in Colorado years ago. Did well over 400 miles in one day and could have done more. It doesn’t get much more comfortable. Would like to try the F3 for fun trips around town.

      Yes, even 1000 miles days are easy on one of these. You just sit and go, never have to put your foot down, just "chillaxing" all day long.

    You must carry some of the blame (not really, I'm big enough & ugly enough to carry it all) Id been thinking about buying a spyder for some time but two years ago I made the decision to start looking at it seriously & ''3 wheels never looked so good'' was the first YT review I'd watched (several times, I still adore that colour scheme & if I were honest, if I could have bought that model brand new now I would have done so) Roll on two years & I've just signed the dotted line & take deliver of my Black/Blue frame F3-S the first week in April. Spending my childrens inheritance has put a huge smile on my face, four son's all now in their twenties & its going to be interesting, none of them were ever aware I gave up two wheels when my eldest was only 2, he's now 28, I'd lost too many friends & acquaintances & I didnt want to influence them in any way to follow in my foot steps, as I did my father. I still have metal work in one arm & screws in the other wrist & have lived with spinal injuries ever since. Two wheels was/is sadly out of the question, I havent the strength in my spine to handle a bike but once its in your blood (you understand I'm sure) So just a line to say thank you, I was listening & taking notes !! wishing yourself & your Lady health & happiness.

    I very much enjoy your reviews and the wisdom and forethought which go into them. My only complaint and it was a minor one, was I was not able to see the gauges in the photography. I also agree wholeheartedly with you, the F3 is a far better bike than the Ryker if you can afford one. I would rather own a slightly used F3 over a Ryker, if that is what it would take to slide into one. Thanks so much for this review. ;)

    The Ryker rally & the 3 Spyder f3s simply they are $6,000-$10,000+ difference in price. I saved the $6,000+ and enjoying the Ryker 900. My 2020 Ryker 900, Ryker accessories, annual insurance and 10x12 lofted shed all four including tax cost less than the base price of the base Spyder f3.

    When cornering slide you backside to the inside of the turn. That is the way the three wheeler course teaches. Distance on a single tank is a resounding complaint in older models.

  • @tobylopez445
    @tobylopez445 Před 2 lety

    if I may say with much respect, on the turns with a three-wheeler, you should always move your body over just a bit in the opposite direction to avoid the centrifugal force pulling you off of the machine. just like how a sportbike racer rides at high speeds and on the turns, he will lean over the opposite side. of course, we don't have to go to that extreme, but a little leaning does help to keep you stable on the bike. be safe and enjoy every ride, sir.

    That's cool looking. Not my kind of cool, but cool. We see Spyders around here but by far, Slingshots are what people have. Not my flavor of ice cream, but a lot of people dig them. I look at them more akin to a snowmobile or a jet-ski for the road.

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  Před 4 lety

      Yea, my thinking too, not my cup of tea but still cool. Slingshots are way cool too but Polaris went a different route with two sitting side by side in it vs this is sitting more like a motorcycle. But hey, either way, different strokes for different folks...

      Sorry man, it's too time consuming to do a video like that and it won't get any views. It's gopro, that's it. Period 😁👍 Anything less and it shows in the quality of the video and is not reliable...I'm talking from experience...I will never buy any other action camera to shoot reviews and I've tried three other brands and they were sooooo frustrating to use during the video and in post production that I wanted to quit doing my channel. So I pay the money for gopro and I love making videos...simple. 😁

    Hi @nothingtoprove I know this comment has nothing to do with this review but I need some one to give me perspective. I am new rider, 40yrs old, 6ft 4 tall, 230 lbs..... I have completed one season on a BMW g310r and loved it! I to have nothing to prove and ride within my skill level, however the g310 is to small for me. I like naked bikes especially roadsters. I used the bike for short commuting and maybe a 1 or 2 hour ride at the weekends. My question is f900r is it a good bike for my second bike? Especially the ergos? It should I save my cash and get a Kawasaki z650? I need some guidance, as I feel I did buy the wrong bike to begin with, even though it's been good to me. Help! It's a mine field

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Rik,
      No problem, glad to help. Is that how you really spell your name, I've never seen Rick spelt this way?
      Ok, now on to your question. Yes I have an affinity for naked bikes too and since I've road just about all of them in the last 2 years I should be able to help you out...I hope. With the two you have listed, 900R and the Z650, first of all I like both and both are very good value for their price point. Second they are not the same size, the Z650 is a bit smaller than the 900R and since you are a big guy, fit should be a main concern for your next bike. I'm 5'10" and the Z650 after an hour or so felt a little small for me but the 900R did not and the 900R has a high seat option (34") that will raise it up to a point to where I can't flat foot it (just sat on one at the dealer this week) so for you the 900R with the optional high seat will probably be the best fit and you can get a higher handle bar and a short or taller windscreen and hard or soft side/top cases too. And all of these options are offered from BMW so they are made specifically for this bike. So this bike can grow as your ability grows and your riding trips get longer and longer over time.
      The Z650 is a bit more limited in making it for a bigger person but aftermarket options are out there.
      It seems like you are in this for the long term, which is great, and of the two bikes you've listed, the 900R seems like the bike that can grow with you.
      Take care, and good luck!
      Scott

      @@NothingToProve thanks for the quick reply. I love the BMW looks and well I only ever but German when it comes to my cars. Here in the US the f900r is very hard to find in the north east where I am. But I have left my name and number when BMW and local dealers. Try and get a test ride booked!
      I was also curious about your set up for the reviews what cameras are you using and mics? I try to record my rides and would like to add my voice to them.
      Rik.... Yep it's different, my mom spelt it like that after my dad called me Ricardo (after his favorite f1 driver) she just spelt it wrong and it stuck.
      Kind regards Rik

I own a spyder and I love it but anything with two in the back and one in the front I wouldn’t own it drive I don’t like the feel at all!
