This guy doesn’t have a sob story and is just pure talent. That’s why I love Sofia as a judge. She doesn’t give a golden buzzer to someone with a sob story but someone who as an amazing talent.

Jimmie has performed this song many, many times in front of live audiences with the Portland band Pink Martini. It was just another day at the office for him.
He definitely had many songs in his head as his a music teacher 😂. But he proceeded to deliver what is to be delivered as he prepared it for the audition.
And the girl who said " oh no" is so cringey. She makes it seem staged.
One of the best performances of all time. For him to overcome all that negativity from Simon, hold his composure, and still blast it out of the park is simply amazing, simply incredible to perform under such pressure.
This guys voice is unreal... The best part for me though is when he was talking to his dad. That support from a parent is everything...

That's the best rendition of that song that I've ever heard. Normally it's sung by kids as it's a kids song from the musical but Jimmie really knocked it out of the park with that. Amazing!

He is, without a doubt, the best male vocalist I’ve seen on AGT.
Does anyone else get emotional when they push the golden buzzer, as if its someone you know personally? Every time the golden buzzer is pressed, my eyes fill with tears of joy for that person. Congratulations to them.
I was singing this to my grandson a few minutes ago. He laughed because he thought I was making up a song for him. I said, “buddy thats a real song.” He said, “no way.” I came here and found this version. I’ll never listen to another version of this song after hearing this one. The sound that came out of his mouth was absolutely beautiful. I hope he go far with his musical talent. There’s no autotune here; just raw, natural talent. Not even a majority of famous singers possess that kind of talent today. His vocals are like some of the greats: Aretha, Patti, Whitney, Christina, Mariah, Freddie Mercury, Selena, Ariana, Jamie Foxx, T-Pains (real voice not autotune) etc. All have some of the best vocals in the industry that requires no help from synthisizers or autotune. Their all different vocals too. I think I’ve made my point.
There’s a young lady on TikTok by the name of FromBritton, who has one of the most viral sounds on the app. It’s a cover of “unstoppable”. She has a pretty voice naturally but she NEEDS synthesizers and autotune to sound the way she does in that cover. The person in the video above doesn’t need any of that. Kids today don’t really appreciate raw talent vocalist like the older generations by all of the auto tuned, synthesized garbage they call music.
I'm from the old school, and I can tell by the list of names you put together that you were there too. We had all the good music back then, and we knew that all the artists we listened to were talented because there wasn't any way to fake it. Well... unless you were in Milli Vanilli there was no way of faking it lol!

Not everyone else actually. There are many, many singers who can hold a note that long. It just takes practiced breath control. I’m not putting down the great performance, I’m just saying it’s not all that unique to he able to sustain notes for 20, 25, or even 30 seconds in some cases.

I saw him tonight with the Pink Martini band at the Moss Arts Center in Blacksburg, VA. I was amazed by his singing so I had to look for him in CZcams. Tomorrow was one of the encore songs by Pink Martini. Jimmie did a full version at it was mesmerizing from beginning to end. Truly outstanding singer.
That was beyond. His tone is unlike anything I’ve ever heard. And his emotional depth/connection is spiritual. Wow doesn’t do it justice.

Trust me, rewatch it with eyes closed (better still if you have a device with great audio) and you'll hear how clean his voice is, how expressive he is so you feel it, how he allows his voice to create a buildup, how he builds in power so that the same verse sounds different and conveys different emotions based on how he sings, you'll also hear and feel just how long and impressive that last note is, especially I believe switching from head to chest voice (or vice versa) in the middle of that last note. It blew my mind with my eyes open but closed felt like he cleansed my sins and healed my problems he was that good. Really made you think tomorrow was gonna be a better day. Extraordinary is an understatement for this just beautiful performance and exquisite artiste.
When Simon said he should do another song and he was like "I don't have another". He was like you are not taking this from me.... (he is a music teacher he has songs. But this was THE song.
It was staged that way to give us more drama. Simon almost missed his cue, but Sofia did a great job.
But of course those dramas won't take away this man's big talent. Such a good, enjoyable entertainment anyway.
Beware of vocal lessons they cause symptoms
