Maybe Norway was the better in the relegation game , but that doesn't change the fact that overall Germany had a better tournament you beat Hockey super power Finland for the first time you pushed Canada to the limit and I think you were unlucky vs Latvia despite the 6-1 loss.
Norway were better in the first two periods, and Germany were better in the third + OT. All goas came at the least expected moments. The game lived its own life!! I also agree with Mr Neraas that Germany played a better tournament overall. Congratulations with the Finland win and suviving the relegation round!
There were very small margins in ot Brandsegg Nygard had gigantic opportunity to win it for Norway he got a pass 2 on 0 but missed the puck with his stick had he got his stick on that puck it most likely would have been 5-4 for Norway ot is luck of the draw it's bingo who wins. Now we have to move on from that dissapointment and get back to juniors A pool as soon possible i believe that will be soon because our u18 team is in the A pool i believe they will survive yet another season in the A pool. Later some of those players will contribute to take the U20s back to the juniors top group. We have a strong u 18 rooster is even stronger than the u20s..
Norway had momentum at 4-4 but became way too passive in ot when Elias was skating around with the puck. Our consolation price will Be that Brandseggnygård will most likely be highest ever drafted Norwegian no one the German team is even close in that regard. our u18s sent the Germans down last year they are a talented generation our u20s will be back.
Canadian but you guys came didn’t get rolled out in any game played hard should be proud I know the result sucks but you guys will easily win the relegation tourney next year, first I seen that brandseggnygard guy is he going to be back on the team next few years of junior or no?
Yes Brandsegg Nygard will play in the Slovenia division 1 tournament next as he is still only 18 years old I'm so excited for the Nhl draft in the summer brandsegg Nygard is a given , but also think defense man Solberg has a good to be drafted too.
