Knowing how to pick out the cut is a skill and talent. That's why the sawyer is one of the top-paid employees at the lumber mill. These ladies have got it in spades.
That panel is missing a espresso button 😁
🤣👍☕
Thanks!
wow....hair looks amazing!
I found this video searching for what a accuset 2 was. Not that I could put one on my mill (HM130) but by watching the video I learned a new approach to milling a log and it has increased my productivity substantially. Thank you
These instructional videos are my favourite that you produce. I love seeing how the tools work. I'll probably never get the chance to run something as sophisticated as your mill and have to be happy with my chainsaw and splitting wedges but a guy can dream.
Thanks Emerald! great information and explanation! i was wondering how it worked!
I love the fact that you kids are so skilled at what you do.
Now, you only have to get Jade to do a video on her own!
You have to let Jade and Sammy do a video too it would be awesome and have your dad in more videos if he can I love they way he explains what he is talking about.... so we'll spoken
Jade and Sammi need to do a lot of videos. Also, it was great to see the Boss Lady Vid as well. About time to get lil bro in the act too. :D
Another great informative video!!
Well, I think your job is safe with me. I will watch it a few more times. Thanks for the explanation.
Amazing equipment, amazing You♥
Wood-Mizer should be paying you for promoting their products! At the very least providing perks like discounts and free upgrades on equipment.
At the very least Woodmizer should send a tech out with a box of their best blades and look that unit over and make sure everything is running right and then he needs to install a coffeemaker on the saw.
Emerald, it’s obvious you can have the LT40 perform they way you wish! Thanks for your explaining how the programming works. I enjoy learning and you are such a good instructor!
Emerald is so good at this business. She knows it inside and out. Its obvious to me that she has a goal of totally running the day to day operations of that yard one day.
Lets hear more from the rest of the crew, I would like to get some more knowledge from the Lumber Capital Log Yard team. Jade should be in the videos more often Much Luv N Respect
Nicely done Have a cup of coffee ☕
Combination of high technology and human judgement and experience...thanks for the demonstration!
It's usually not the tool in use , but rather the user of the tool that makes the project perfect. Em certainly proves that with her skills. The weather is changing so stay warm , my dear. Thank you for the great tutorial.
No, there's no one else on CZcams who does it like you. Yoiu're unquestionably the very best. and you play that control panel like a harp.
Awesome job. Always wondered how you made them
Thank you for that tutorial I did learn some things but I’m a bonehead when it comes to technology a great job little lady
nice job . I see the leaves are turning in the back ground
Thank you! I've been helping another mill on one of my days off because they no longer have a Sawyer. They have an accu-set, but I didn't know how to save the settings. I just reset the cut pattern each time I turned it on.
Thanks again!
Miss Emerald... I certainly hope that Wood-Mizer is compensating you, in some form, for the "Training" and "Product Promotion" you are doing for them... They should be... You are very good at it... very clean, clear and well articulated instruction...👍
You are a joy to watch... a real pleasure... I say again... I love this channel...🤟
good job
You rock Emerald! Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing. Have a nice evening. 😊
The main thing is that you know to do it. You Rock!
Emerald always knows how to make everything look and sound easy. Very smart girl full of the knowledge of her craft.
Hello Emerald, i'm from Turkey and i have been watching your videos since couple of months. Since there is so much small particules and dust flying around when you're working, i recommend you and your coworkers to wear masks. In the long term i think it can damage your lungs. Because of this i got allergies to dust and pollen.
Hi Em and Camera Ace Jade! That was an informative vid. It would take a while to learn that but it is nice to get an idea of what you are doing when you two are standing at the control panel. Next perhaps you can show us what the various hydraulic levers do. Cheers!
This is an excellent example of how an honest human being communicates.
You girls skill level is spot on amazing
Anything that has to be programmed is a nightmare the first time-whether it is a mill or a smartphone! Good try, but I can see it takes some trial and error before you get it down!
I'm so confused but I enjoyed listening to you explain it. You girls certainly do know your equipment 👍👍👍
You spent a lot time learning this machine. This is a skill not many people know and you can use this skill the rest of your life. Job well done.
Hi Em, I see you started to show what some of your buttons do on your machine. I think I can speak for
many of us who would love for you to give a full demonstration of what all the buttons and levers control. I'm
sure if you team up with Jade on camera, one can show the lever moving and the other can show what that
lever is controlling and moving on the mill. Just incase I ever need to cut a tree down in my backyard and want
to make a few boards. Thanks Sweetie.
Super video Emerald. Excellent tutorial for beginners.
A very good Friday morning to you all in the USA from Wellington Somerset in the uk
Thx for sharing. I love your program
Outstanding to all the family for doing a wonderful job I’m very pumped very proud of all
very helpful thanks so much love your videos
This is so well put together you should get some form of compensation from Wood Mizer.
What is your favorite brand of coffee?
Whatever’s on sale, as long as it’s not decaf! ☕️
Hot
@@patbrewer4205 Iced coffee is good, too. If you like iced tea, give iced coffee a try. 👍🏼
Awesome! I really really like Em! She’s good! Entertaining, informative, easy on the eyes. I love the way that she talks. A good quality human being! Comes from good stock!
Great job. If you mill an 8x then cut it in half to make 2x4’s then the 2x4’s are actually less then 4”... lol by like a 32nd of an inch. So what I do it in pattern I set it to drop down to 4 and then 4. But I only drop to the first 4 when I make my width and then I finish squaring the can’t then I come back and drop the next 4 (making two 4” blocks) basically my pattern looks like this:
1
1
1
1
4- cut to first to make width, cut my height,
4- flip it back to width side and then cut another 4 to make two 4x’s then turn again
Then cut 222222 all the way down. Wicked smaht
+Vermonters 👍👍
All and all an excellent informative video.
Thanks! Good luck! 👍
Math is hard...
...I love the Log Yard vids!!
Gotta watch this a few more times before it sinks in, but, that's just me
I assume the controls at the bottom of the control stand operate the arms turning and locking the work piece. Very good. Rock on. 🇺🇸
Hey,nice work, great content, tell us about the little pre saw circular saw, thanks, you're so smart!
Excellent tutorial! Thank you
That was very informative and entertaining. Well done. If you can remember. Great camera work. Thank you.👍👍❤️
An manual, 3 to 13 lessons. Perhaps for I to seriously dislike Math. Awesome shots on your ring. It's almost as beautiful as you are. Thank you for the no messing around instructional video. Have a great evening off Em. And your camera operator.
Thanks for the info on the Accuset II. I ordered an lt40 that is supposed to be ready for delivery the last of May or first of June. You may have noticed it, as well, when you edited the video but your blade did not appear to be tracking in the debarker cut line.
Noticed it on the 3:19 and 3:20 mark on the video
Great job teaching!!
Thanks 👍🧙♂️!!!!
Time is money and these machines really saves you time and I bet it really comes in handy on big and emergency orders. By the way, haven’t seen, I think her name is Samantha. I figured she must be your cousin. Something I like about your videos. I’m a retired UPS driver and have always been fascinated in what people do for a living especially jobs people do that most take for granted, crafts or sports. I’ve see and hears some great stories through the years and just by looking around my own home I see the contributions people like you make to the community and to our live. Yes, you (excuse the expression) 🎉 are very important and we thank you for it and we’ll keep on watching! Bob Fouracre (actually we have 7 acres) Galloway, NJ
Em I just wanted to say you are very good at what you do and love the time you take to make videos for us. I can see you running that sawmill eventually 😏
Good job I did a video about LT70 and you did alot better job than I did lol
That was a nice log to work with.
Another great video.....any chance you could do one on the blades you use ? Maybe just maybe you could get Grampa to do one on sharpening .....
Damn. I'm in love 😅
Much more captivating teacher than my bald boss
Emerald is so Knowledgeable ❤and so Beautiful
wuz up
At the beginning of the Video, there was a major "Glare" on the Sawmill control Panel. You couldn't see the Printout/ Readout. Also noticed that Red/ Emerald, likes "Turquoise"/ Silver " Indian Jewelry!!!! And Indian Apparel!!!! O.K. all you boys out there in T.V. land Christmas is approaching, You know what to do!!!! I'm sure she would like to add onto her Collection!!!!😊😎🤗😇.!!! Emerald must have some Indian blood in Her??? Cant wait to see her wearing Moccasins??? If she does, she better not spill That hot Coffee on her foot!!!😁😁😁😁😎😎😎😎🤗🤗🤗🤗😇😇😇. (Scottish Indian) here!!! " Good Video" again, God Bless!!!!! Keep- on- Hammering!!!
I know Imperial measurements are still the industry standard, but I'm wondering if there is a Metric toggle for your measurements as that might help at times. But, that said it looks like it ain't broke so no need to fix too for your methodology and how you use the machine. Woodmizer really does need to give you a bit of a royalty for any one bought as you are a very good spokeswoman for them.
Most CNC m/c's can convert. Woodworking m/c's I looked after in the UK all worked in metric.
Still can't see your "Emerald" eyes with the makeup on ! Natural !!
Just an FYI, UN Resolution 181 was meant to allow for a 2 state solution with Jerusalem being an international city which shows that peace is possible. Kind of goes back to my neighbor having me committed to a psychiatric hospital.
You know how to operate the mill very well must of took some trial and error seems confusing when your explained it but I’m sure after doing it a few time become a lot easier
and you still have the old school measurements from the rulers on the saw head
I must admit that this was all a bit beyond me, but still interesting to watch. Does the blade guide move in and out automatically to following the log shape, and does the de barking scriber do the same? Also, is there a safety system to prevent the blade from running into the dogs when cutting the last boards? You are very clever at spinning the logs around. Most of the mills I have seen fix the logs on a rolling table, and the saw blade is vertical. Turning the log is done by hand. These old mills were used mainly to cut English oak, and the smell was wonderful. the sawyers took their time to align the log to cut the best quartered figure even when slab sliced, so the centre boards had good flame figure. The outer boards were used to make gates, posts or framework, and other parts used for turning.
Good evening Emerald nice video
Great example of how you need to know math inside an out!
Great skill!
do you have pressure treatment lumber as we in britain have it for any fencing or homes that are open to the weather
Hello
Slabs make a lot of money. But you'll need thicker logs. As big as the saw will hold.
Don't forget 4" because many people buy them for headers on doorways and window openings. Most headers are three and a half finish cut. By 9.5 finish cut.
Holy moly! You are absolutely gorgeous!!
What is the do hickey if you're on the other end of the mill on the left side that swings not the Doomafliche in the middle.... Only piece I have yet to ponder it's reason or function....the video your presenting today makes sense.... I have always been able to perceive computer aided equipment I have used many different types....😎 Well did as per usual... thanks
Compost that wood dust with some good greens and light the fire with the Emerald Hair for a superior calcium addition
Great!🌷
That’s way more complicated than I thought. I have respect for you. How long did it take to learn how to use all of the features. Does everyone in the family know how to operate that mill?
Wow makes you look at a 2x4 at a lumber yard in a totally different way👀 a lot of work time & money 💪 you got the skills Missy 🕵♀well done ,Hmm Boss lady cruz"n by @ 9:22 🚜🏁😆
When you come across a log with a split in the center. Cut the direction of the split.
I also forgot to ask if all of you that run the saw share settings? When you switch off, does Jade or Sammi use the same set up? :)
Get info as always!!
Great video, but how do you set your kerf?
Still pretty heavy on the eye liner.
just a teenage phase ..? but you're right...go easy on the war-paint not needed.
And stale fuel is bad to pre mixed gas is good for all 2cycle equipment I prefer 50to1 ratio
Hiya Emerald,
Great video, thank you yet again.
Does it have it's own battery to power the electronics or does it just use the 12v engine start battery?
Steve...
Maybe I am overthinking this, but it would be nice if the Woodmizer Accu Set II could be upgraded to voice activated , instead of manually typing in the measurements. Just like when you have , for example, Alexa, in a Car; Just say " Accu Set, cut me a 1x12 x10' The computer voice activated program would automatically measure the size of the cut based on the size of the log, and cut the board . Would seem a lot simpler that punching in all those numbers,
Does the Accuset allow for blade width? I used to look after an automatic circular saw, we measured the blade width entered that and the m/c would add that to dimensions. It confused some operators as they would work out the amount of boards from a sheet and the m/c would refuse to do it. If the cut widths were added in then the total would be greater than the sheet size, m/c knew best!
Emerald you really need to fall in love with math. Arithmetic helps a lot
Great Hustle... !! keep it up or you 'll just loose time
Great video. Just ordered my lt40 wide with Debarker and accuset2 Should be here in 9 months. How many hours do you have on your mill and have you had to replace any parts? Trying to figure out what parts to keep on the shelf
I'm guessing the mill programs compensate for saw kerf so all finish dimensions are the same
Interesting so it measures from the bottom in intervals that you set it at taking into account the saw cut width.
Is that correct Emerald?
💚
Interesting. When you set up the third slab, the lt40 lifted the small end of log and lowered for final slab. Is that manual or automatic? Thanks for sharing
What is the vertical stepping accuracy of your mill (minimum manual step)?
