The one issue I have with the game is how often games go to a top deck war( because you are only drawing 1 card a turn, and most turns you are inking a card and playing a few cards, and the lack of card draws), but I am not sure if it’s just because it’s the first set and there are not enough powerful cards yet. I am curious to hear any one with experience playing MTG in its early days if topdeck war is something that also happened frequently?
so i played the first week after launch at my LGS, and i will say that only the precons really have this issue. the only precon that has decent card draw outside of turn draw is the amethyst amber deck, because there are some card draw packages in that deck (from purple mainly). but when you make upgrades to do what each color is supposed to do, it doesnt tend to be that bad. that being said, some colors just dont do well with drawing cards for sure, so i think its also just it being the first set and not having much card draw for each color.

Ya I liked the "mana" idea, I did this for my MTG cube and works well.
This land system isn't new, for what I know Duel Masters (a japanese game which was kinda hot 15 years ago) had a very similar mechanic. Also Duel Master was really cool as a kid, the shield system was fun
I'm pretty gutted Lorcana isn't being released here in NZ. I have an 8 year old daughter who recently got in to Pokémon TCG and is just about the exact target audience for this game. I guess the upside is that I'll save a ton of money.
The good thing about big questing creature hard to remove is that damage stay on them. Some time u just have to keep attacking 3 turn straight the same creature to take it down

#newtolorcana I was looking at all the cards just last night and the deck idea that most stood out to me was item cycling with Tamatoa and Maurice. Do you know if there's anything stopping me from activating the Magic Glowing Flower if I don't have a damaged character. I want to put it back in my hand with Tamatoa, play it for free with Maurice, and draw a card.
rules for this game are super vague since it just launched but the flower says "up to" so I imagine you can target something with no damage
