what you're doing is way above my skill level to play as a beginning player, but as a longtime listener it really makes sense to me.

This is so fantastic. I think you'd really like a tune by Miles Okazaki called "Kudzu." The head is basically these interweaving enclosures that delays the resolution of the chord tones of a blues in a super futuristic sounding way. Same concept! Thank you for this video!!

GREAT stuff but how long did it take you to really get it in your fingers ?
Honestly, it took me an entire gig to get it down because I was taught this idea during soundcheck 😬 I kept hammering at it during all my solos, until it came together. Naturally, after that night, I went home and hit the shed
So what’s the lesson? Just that lick? Use enclosures? I don’t get it.
