    Great reviews of all 4 variants and thank you for giving a continuous graph of dB. It's invaluable information for making a decision, especially since other reviewers only give dB readings at max speed and/or a fixed temperature delta.

    I think it would be good to include the P14 ARGB version in the charts as well, since it is the best noise-to-performance 140mm fan in your tests at medium and high speeds. The LW 140 is slightly better at lower speeds than the P14 ARGB and that would be good to see on the charts.
    Maybe leave out the F14 instead since it's an abysmal fan.

      Makes sense.
      Unfortunately, the truth is that I simply forgot about it when making the video.
      This is a perfect example of why the way we’re creating the graphs isn’t ideal. There are too many cases where after the release of a video, I realize that there are numerous other fans I should have compared it to.

    This review beautifully underscores why testing fans only on radiators doesn't tell much about how good they are as case fans. Bravo!

    • @STSYT
      @STSYT  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks! Yeah, we try to separate radiator tests into individual videos. Those use-cases are way too specific and rare to use it as a general assumption

    • @4Leka
      @4Leka Před 2 lety

      @@STSYT Lot's of reviewers seem to assume that everyone is using radiators and even have rada in their case intakes. I applaud you for taking the common user's use case.

    Well damn! I'd not have expected these 'High speed' fans, to be beaten by the p14 argbs. Just goes on to show, how much of a value for money monsters those p14 argbs are!

    I'm a die hard Arctic guy with fans, and purely because of value, but I may just buy a BeQuiet Dark Power PSU for my next system.

    Would you consider releasing these results as a graph where one can select which fans to show on the chart? That would be a superb fan comparison tool! Maybe just for members, if it gives too much away for free.

    • @STSYT
      @STSYT  Před 2 lety +1

      Actually, I’ve been looking into this for a very long time.
      Right now all the numbers are inside a too long Excel spreadsheet with some graph that I have to re-build for every benchmark as Excel is just a black hole nourished by hopes and dreams.
      The idea was to have some sort of tool where I can add the numbers and have a graph generated by simply selecting the fans that I want to compare it to. As there is nothing that would do it by default, I would need to write it myself/partially repurpose some random library.
      Programming-wise, that wouldn’t be a problem, even making it public would be just as easy.
      The issue is time 😅 3x videos a week + social media + everything else that the channel requires so that the government doesn’t break my neck + an extra job, there’s just not enough left for these types of projects.
      + making it member's only is a great idea and makes a lot of sense. But working through Google’s API’s to have it working that way would make the project even longer 😅
      Hopefully someday. We’re working on automating as much as possible to create some spare time for these kinds of things

    It this just Pure Wings 2 with RGB strips? ( I'm suspicious that the box says "essential" as a category just like Pure Wings 2 while Shadow Wings has a label of "premium" and Silent Wings is "high-end" )

    • @STSYT
      @STSYT  Před rokem

      I had the same thought when first getting them. But there are way more differences than just the RGB ring. Though be quiet! should have labeled them that way ^^

    That’s a big bummer. I would like to request the new lian li uni SL infinity fans. Amazing design but can they cool things down?

    Can the motherboard control each fan RGB individually when using the RGB hub? Or do they each need to be plugged into their own ARGB header?

  • @maximoffz
    @maximoffz Před rokem

    Ok so if I got this right, it means that if I dont have a-RGB hub on my motherboard I cannot run them and that hub box is pretty much useless ? My motherboard is MSi Tomahawk Max B450

    How does the performance differ with radiators? Would you still go for the non high speed?

  • @filipjusta

    Hello, I have a question. I own aio cooling Be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX, 280mm HUB is included in the package, can these fans be connected to it?

    • @STSYT
      @STSYT  Před rokem +1

      Hi, sure, nobody is stopping you.
      Just keep in mind that all your fans will spin at the same %

    • @filipjusta
      @filipjusta Před rokem

      @STSYT Oh well then that would be bad... So would it be better to plug them into the motherboard or use their hub?

    don't like using to much hubs and these fans not having a pwm splitter design not really big deal since you can get a 1 to 3 pwm splitter for me anyways not a big deal.

    just go buy corsiar so you dont have to get screwed over with their "ARGB" which is hard to control and not compatible with certain equipment. and because of that announce of use i consider this fan a piece of junk

      Except for the regular speed 140s, they have a pretty good ratio
