Finally a test that's focused around case mounting, not radiators. Not enough reviewers test all these new fans placed behind mesh covers, which as intakes usually cause lots of additional noise from air turbulence. I'm still torn between these and the toughfan 14's for front intakes on my new o11 air mini.

Good review! I would just like to see a suggestion for better alternatives if you find that you don’t like the product reviewed in the video. Keep up the great content.

Damn. That's a power hungry consumer fan. I think only the old TY-143 from Thermalright is more hungry as far as consumer fans go.

Question about your testing methods: How much distance between the fan and mesh panel? Distance between fan and covered panel?
    Thanks for another great review!

The distance from the fan to the panel is 40 mm (1.5inch)

@@HardwareForGamers Thanks for that information! That is encouraging me to play around with DIY spacers to put some distance between my case fans and mesh panels to reduce loss in performance.

Thank you, next up is the ThermalRight phantom Spirit which is testing really well.

Hi. At the moment I have a Jonsbo D31 mesh case. At the top there are Arctic F14 - 2 pcs., at the bottom Arctic F12 - 3 pcs., on the back wall there is Noctua NF-S12A. I want to replace the lower Arctic F12 with three Thermalright TL-C12-PRO, please tell me if there will be an improvement from this replacement? All fans work at about 900 rpm, but the fans from Arctic are still not very quiet. In one of the reviews, they say that the P series from Arctic is not very suitable for installation as a case fan. There is a noticeable difference in temperatures between the F and P series.

The C12 PRO can move a lot more air than the Arctic F12's, but in noise to performance they are pretty equal. so it depends how you have things set up (RPM/noise) on if there will be a temperature difference.
