We almost didn't bother vlogging in Grein as it was such a small place but we were pleasantly surprised at what there was to see here. With only 2 hours off the boat we did a tour of the museum and theatre (the oldest in Austria) and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If this is on your river cruise itinerary you must get off and enjoy the charms of this wonderful small town.

It was a beautiful courtyard. This place was such a pleasant surprise. We weren't expecting much, but Grein was lovely.

The Danube was fabulous. Even though we should have been on the Rhine 🙄 Blooming global warming! 🤣 Improvise, adapt and overcome is probably the best advice for enjoying river cruising!
Never been to Grein. Looks very interesting. My boring fact for this week: the house of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha gave us Prince Albert. Husband and consort of Queen Victoria. Agree with Lisa - carriage was obviously a prototype for a silver cross pram 😂

I wish our filthy streets were as clean as over there. Either their councils are on the ball or the people have pride in where they live - either way, it's so lovely to see.
Couldn't agree more. Civic or municipal pride is a dying thing in the UK. The broken windows theory works. Litter, damage and graffiti attracts more of the same if it is not fixed quickly. Thanks for watching 👍 I'm off litter picking now! 😃
