Do You Have Everything You Need in Your Boat if Something Goes Wrong?

In today’s episode Mark will show you all of the tools and “backup equipment” he keeps in his boat just in case the unexpected happens. These tools and parts can turn a day ending occurrence into a five minute repair and get you back on the water fishing.

Hey Mark. I keep a Noco Jump starter in my boat also along with all the fuses and tools you have. One thing I do keep on the boat at all times is extra water and those Bridgeford ready to eat sandwiches. They are lifesavers if you have to spend the night or on the water. They last about a year or so.

Now that’s being prepared for a real bad day. But you’re right, it can happen! You are not the first or only person who I know has spent the night stranded on the boat. The Mississippi River backwater sand bars come to mind. Thanks for tuning in and commenting.

After dead battery twice last year on the water I now keep a Noco with me too

Zip ties and black tape. Also noco jump starter have saved me several times. I will be putting a hot foot spring in my box as well. Thanks for the tip.

Zip ties are an absolute MUST!
Thank you for adding that. In terms of stories about when I needed them, I can say that each item has a frustrating day usually consisting of having to get off the water (or being towed off the water) to get the item fixed or repaired instead of fishing!
