Husqvarna 535i XP | My New Favorite Saw?

- Husqvarna's latest battery chainsaw isn't the most powerful battery saw I've ever used, but the mission with the 535i XP wasn't to make a direct competitor to DeWalt's 60V saw (that's the upcoming 540i), instead they made an ultra-light saw that's weather resistant and has an optional battery backpack for the ultimate brush clearing saw.

Super smart to have a battery backpack!
That battery backpack setup looks like something out of Starship Troopers or Ghostbusters. I'll admit, that is what got me to click on this video.
Hello, thank you for this review. I have been looking for someone to do just this with the battery saw and backpack. Excellent video.
If you haven't figured it out yet, you can clip the backpack cable to the harness to keep it away from the tool, there's clips on the shoulder and waist
i realize I'm kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good website to watch newly released movies online?
@Gage Shiloh Ehh I watch on Flixportal. just search on google after it=) -samuel
@Samuel Imran thanks, signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) Appreciate it!
@Gage Shiloh glad I could help :D
Its great to see this after seeing the failure of the 120i model... that model has a top load battery that gets filled with dirt and wood dust and overheats really quick.
I would like to replace my gas powered 120 but will def go up to the 540i, buy once cry once as they say
It would cut fine if you sharpened the chain, likely prevent the battery from overheating as well.
Quite the interesting Rorshach images on those discs sawn off the log. I'm sure I saw a couple of faces in there.
Cool stuff bud so the bigger backpack is the 950?
Alex, what model chipper do you use? I have 3.5 acres with significant brush and branches to clear and maintain. Thanks
Very nice intro music on this channel.
Buy the 540ixp you won't regret it, the 536 seems wimpy now even though it's a great saw.
I have a 535iXP that I bought new and it has bee a TERD since day 1. I can only make a few cuts (always less than 10) and then it flashes the overheat signal and won't work again for 20 mins or so. Does not matter if it's summer or winter. Brought it to a dealer when it was still under warranty and they blamed the battery, not the saw. Took them almost a YEAR to get me a new battery (factory back order) now I am out of the warranty period, and the saw still won't do more than 10 cuts. Friend has one and his works great. Swap his battery for mine and his saw is still good and mine sucks. Husqvarna customer support won't help! They just refer me to a dealer. Dealer won't help because its out of warranty. Bought this new and have literally made less than 100 cuts with it. Total junk and even a "PRO" saw like this is no good and si I wasted a ton of money and Husq won't stand behind their product. Buyer Beware. By the way, I have a lot of other Husq equipment that has done well for me but this was a total waste. First time I splurged on Pro and just got hosed.
What an amazing video! Im a chainsaw carver looking to transfer to batterie saw & got my eye on the 540. Your review was great ! What is the name or link to your fb site please? Thanks chainsaw carving Nottingham

Have you ever considered Stihl products?
I have and I like them but I'm lazy and I like ordering online LOL. So I have some Sthil trimmers that I liked better than the Husqvarna one and was worth going to a dealer for, but the rest I bought online and had them sent right to my door. (Note: Sthil won't allow resellers to do online sales for some reason)
@@TheMountainGarden Understood. I do like Stihl, but they aren't really necessary for me these days. Great vid as usual, Alex!
A battery powered chainsaw just doesn't sound as good as a gas powered saw. For the time being, I think any professional user would probably want a gas saw maybe in addition to a battery powered saw.
For sure, this is not going to be anyone's only chainsaw...
Oh, high price low power chainsaw.
Yes exactly my bli940 broke after warranty I will never used gas for 1500 eur it’s crap no spare parts for it
NEVER ever buy this battery pack bli940 or 950 there is no support after warranty, HUSQVAQRNA dont want to send any spare parts for this, repair center is in germany and u need to pay travel cost 150eur (my country Slovakia) transport + diagnose + repair part even i didnt get into repair part.....
i got it back from dealer after 3/4 year issue - Husqvarna didnt sent spare parts and mentioned that need to be send to germany and i need to pay extra all this cost ist heavy and if dealer discovered issue anyway Husqvarna will do nothing !!!!!
Worst company for support this batteries i ever saw !!! I spend so much f... time to write a mails and exchange without positive result or give me some solution.
Its shit this battery bli940/950 , no innovation since may be 10 years (~) cable holded on battery not possible to replace it as compare nice tools STIHL (i saw video)
Sorry for negative revue but this can happen to anybody....
