bruh season 1 was a masterpiece, best season not debatable at all tbh. Best fight choreography (fast action and no unnecessary front/back flips lol) and story with parkour included. Reason was because the team and main cast was small (mostly jus Oliver/Stephen) so it was all concentrated. The team got way to big as the seasons came by and and the fight scenes became shit/sloppy/slow (probably due to how many people they needed to choregraph). The story also got pretty bad, became a legit CW drama show lol
Feels good to vent this out once in awhile lol

@@g0blinslayr299 It got less good for sure...but definitely not bad. What was bad was season 4. Season 5 was one of the best out of the bunch. If you'd hung around a while past season 4, u'd know. Season 6 was sloppy but later half was a better improvement. Season 7, prison arc was really good until the back half went sloppy again with the poor villain. And then season 8 was again one the best. Overall seasons weren't bad...cuz there were a lot of good moments, sure some were poor. But as a whole series the show was a satisfying journey of Oliver and the people around him.

Ah, it's a tough one. Personally, as a day-one "Arrow" fan, I feel the most satisfying conclusion would have been at the end of Season 5, where the flashbacks meet up with the pilot. However, it seemed the success of the other Arrow-verse shows kept it going beyond it's time, even though there were still a lot of good moments. Had the season finale of 5 not ended on the cliffhanger it did (which didn't really end up being all that important, anyway), I think that would have been the perfect point to end it. However, I'd be lying if I didn't say I really missed it and if more "Arrow" was starting up again this fall, I'd be down!

Guggenheim ruined the show IMO - Kreisberg went to helm a shiny new show "The Flash" and did first 2 seasons there (also best for that show) so along comes Guggy and his championing of "Olicity" at Cons turning show into face palm drama at expense of characters. He stepped down after season 6 after being lambasted by shows main three stars, having turned entire fandom against the new Team Arrow (after a great season 5 for them) and on god his obsession with his Mary Sue creation Felicity...
Fake weddings, felicity fighting flash villains with her mom, hacker battles vs dad, hacker battles vs ex boyfriend, magically inheriting Palmer Tech, Magically being made CEO, being a cringe blatant copy of Oracle in wheelchair, magically curing said paralysis almost overnight one day with her genuis, shaming Olly over protecting his son via secrecy, joining hacker organisation, bombing a town off the map at end of season 4 to zero consequence and seemingly zero emotional effect going on from it (magically being forgiven by its only survivor no less). He took over season 3 as show runner and made me HATE a character I liked. Only season he did that was good was 5 and the was after pulling back on Olicity obsession after viewership plummeted... Then went all in season 6 by making us hate New Team Arrow too by making them do dumb shit weekly in a piss poor civil war storyline no one wanted.
Stephen was done by then, he requested in his own admission to be have season 7 his final one but was talked in an extra half season by new show runner Beth to give him proper storyline send off (was great final season and fitting end albeit apart from meh Arrow & Canaries backdoor pilot by our pal Guggenheim and of course the shit they pulled on the character in crisis again Guggenheim helmed that crossover... Killed him off TWICE in the one lol, yet Ray Choi was beating off the same monsters in finale that killed Olly with his BARE HANDS haha)

I think that a format of 8-10 episodes would fit well with Arrow. The 22 episodes per season , with all these villians of the week etc , always felt to me that the show was repeated over and over again and because they had to keep the plot going, they ended up stretching it so much to the point of making it boring. So, in that sense, i think a format of 8-10 episodes would be better , because it would make them focus on the main story , the villian and the characters more without having to rely on stupid plot points in order the strech the story for more episodes.

Arrow's problem was and always was their inability to respect the source material. They had decades of source material and people who were watching because they were adapting a super hero from a comic book. Laurel should have been Black Canary from the START. Could have had a blurb underneath the Headline of Oliver Queen being back from the island scroll by stating "Black Canary Foils Another Plot" Which could have been tied into "The List" Both of them killing or bringing the List to "Justice" in one way shape or form stepping on each others toes would have been a brilliant way to have an arc last an entire season or two till them both being together and unmasking for the first time. Would have established Laurel as a bad ass from the beginning. Instead we got a weak ass version that the most loyal comic book reader could not recognize. Arrow pandered to a toxic fandom with Olicity and the quality of the show suffered because of it. When you put a person who mainly did shows like "Desperate Housewives" and Guggenfuck who destroys comic book characters on screen it was bound to be a disaster. They should have kept it simple street level vigilantism. Kept it real. He didn't need a "team" behind him. There were plenty of comics to be adapted. Didn't need to go the route that it did.

Stephen Amell seems like a genuine good dude, which is saying a lot in today's Hollywood. I've recently started re-watching Arrow for the first time. I'm only up to the first half of season 2, but already there have been so many things I had forgotten since first seeing it, and it's only occurring to me now that season 1 was nearly 10 years ago. I'm really enjoying it so far. I remember seasons 1 and 2 being my favorites. It started to waver in quality after they introduced Barry Allen, bringing in the less grounded, and in some cases radically UN-grounded elements of the comics. Also, expanding Team Arrow from 3 to 27 or 93 or however many it ended up being by the end hurt the quality. The crossovers were fun, but the show lost something when there were too many characters.

I love that Stephen loves playing Oliver, as that means a possible mini series is never off the table. If they do it I hope it's a more stripped down version of the show. I came to love much of the cast, but it got too big, and so it was hard to dedicate proper time to everyone, as well as plot. If it goes back to the season 1 and 2 size cast (not necessarily all the same characters, you can mix up which main cast from which seasons you want to include, but Diggle is a must) then you've struck the right balance. Something in the same style as what they're doing with Superman and Lois. Less episodes in order to maximize on quality. That would be perfect

Season 1-2 of Arrow will always be one of my favorite shows. Season 3 wasn't as good, but after that it jumped the shark. If they ever did bring it back, it needs to go back to basics. It was better when it was just him killing his villains, the villains were actual real threats and they weren't trying to make him Batman. Not killing villains is fine, but you have to suspend your IQ a bit to believe that you're just gonna keep locking up mass murderers over and over again. Nobody would live in Gotham, nobody.

Arrow is a good show overall, it had it's ups and downs sure but still Arrow was a huge success and a big reason why we got so many good superhero tv shows these days, and of course stephen amell did a fantastic job as oliver queen/green arrow, the ending of the show was good and satisfying enough, the ending is a thing that some of the best tv shows couldn't get it right, but I think arrow did, it ended on a high note and so many of us fans are ok with that, but I personally would love to see that green arrow and the canaries spin of as a limited series on hbo max, with stephen amell cameo as a memory or in flashbacks or something like that

But then I saw him last year in Code 8, that movie he did with his brother for Netflix, and I was pleasantly surprised by him.
