  • Welcome to our channel, where we delve into the exciting world of networking! In this video, we'll be exploring the concept of Segment Routing and comparing it to traditional protocols like LDP (Label Distribution Protocol) and RSVP (Resource Reservation Protocol). Whether you're a networking professional or simply curious about innovative routing techniques, this video will provide you with valuable insights and a comprehensive understanding of Segment Routing.
Segment Routing is a cutting-edge routing paradigm that offers flexibility, scalability, and simplified network management. It leverages the concept of source routing, where the path through the network is predetermined by explicitly specifying a sequence of segments, enabling efficient traffic steering and network optimization.
In this educational video, we'll cover the following key points:
Introduction to Segment Routing: We'll start by explaining what Segment Routing is and how it differs from traditional routing protocols like LDP and RSVP. You'll gain a clear understanding of the underlying principles and benefits that Segment Routing brings to modern network architectures.
Comparison of LDP, RSVP, and Segment Routing: We'll provide an in-depth comparison of LDP, RSVP, and Segment Routing, highlighting the strengths and limitations of each approach. You'll learn about the key features, scalability, complexity, and deployment considerations associated with these protocols.
Benefits and Use Cases: Understand the advantages that Segment Routing offers over traditional protocols. We'll discuss use cases where Segment Routing shines, such as in data center networks, MPLS-based networks, and multi-domain environments. You'll gain insights into how Segment Routing can streamline network operations, improve traffic engineering capabilities, and enhance network resiliency.
By the end of this video, you'll have a solid understanding of Segment Routing and its comparison with LDP and RSVP. Whether you're a network engineer, a solution architect, or an enthusiast looking to stay up-to-date with the latest networking trends, this video will equip you with the knowledge to assess and implement Segment Routing in your network environment.

In a bgp routing scenario, let's say you have two ISPs with Router1 for ISP1 as primary link and Router2 for ISP2 as secondary or backup link. One day primary ISP had problems of several packet loss until after an hour it became unusable, so you need to divert the link/traffic and switch to the secondary link or ISP2. How are you going to configure this using bgp, what specific attribute do you put in this command or config?
