  • Wood Dye Tutorial using blue wood dye to create a deep royal blue or sapphire blue wood stain. This video is for a better application tutorial on getting a deep blue color with the Keda Wood Dye Kit.
Wood Prep was A progression Sand out:
100 Grit, 150 Grit, 180 Grit, 220 Grit THEN 180 Grit just before wood dye application.
Hope this is a little more detailed , and a better demonstration.

Did my first real test on a piece of plywood - turned out beautifully. Thank you for your videos, and to guiding me to this awesome product! I never even knew I needed to be able to do this!

I'm working with a similar run of the mill maple using Keda Crimson Red dye. Your video gives me the boost I need to tackle this project.

I love this. We are building a 2x12 speaker cab out of plywood and this would be a fantastic look. WOW!

Thanks so much for sharing this process. I'm planning on doing something very similar to a Les Paul Guitar kit and your video has answered a lot of questions for me. Cheers, Bob

This is the best video I've seen on dying. I'm currently building a V and changing the tobacco burst to blue. I applied one coat and it came out purple. IL gonna sand it till it's lighter to what I want. I'm taking major pride on my guitar that's going from tobacco bust to blue. I really love the end results of that board. That sapphire blue is to die for. Thank you for this video. If there is anything you beleive I need to know or any extra information, it would be welcomed. Thank you for this video. It's the best dye/wood job video I've scene out there

Steel wool will help open the grains up on your wood for your dye to absorb deeper and get that contrast look.
