    Bacharach and David, in my opinion, the greatest song writing duo of popular music in the twentieth century. What a treat to have lived to hear each new song as it was released to the world. Incredible talented men.

    Saw this most enjoyable show with the great original cast although at the time I didn't know who Katie Finneran was. I only wish Burt had written more for Broadway.

      I saw it in England in 1970. Other cast, of course. But it was amazing.

    Sean has a beautiful voice but I feel like his performance could use a little more energy 😶

      I agree! I feel like it could use a bit more ‘energetic walking’

      He was very good - better than Jerry Orbach in my opinion - but he didn't fit with Kristen Chenoweth. Who would? If he had been given a co star who understood the show, and the fragile character of Fran, I think it would have run longer and Sean would have stayed.

    There were parts of the revival which were really good but it could never compare with the original broadway cast many years ago which was thrilling to see - it was kind of a disappointment for me to see the revival it just didnt have that WHATEVER that the original had

    Severe lack of "Half As Big As Life" but other than that I give the video 10/10.

    i saw the revival ..... truly a waste of my time can't compare to the original but christen and sean were good i didn't know he could sing so well

    Sean was closer to the touching character that Jack Lemmon created on film, but the rest of the show was terrible, and Kristen Chenoweth was the main problem. She was painfully miscast and threw the show out of whack totally. Fran isn't supposed to be a shrieking diva who takes center stage. It's hard to know how they got this terrific show so wrong, but they did.

    Loved the cast, but I thought it was silly and unnecessary to add hit songs that weren't in the original show. It kind of destroyed the whole revival for me. It was done right the first time in the late 60s.

    the revival in 2010 was not inspiriring at all the original production was magnificent this revival couldt even compare with this a very boring revival the cast did its best job but it wasn't inspiring

    No one sings "A House is Not a Home" like Luther. Sorry! His soul sings it not his voice.

      He sang with his heart and his hole, since he had a lot of flatulence while performing on stage. That's why he sang loud & powerfully, to drown out his relentless farting on stage.

      It’s not about Luther , it’s a Broadway 🎭 Show. Kristen did it wonderfully.

    • @jochenstossberg5427
      @jochenstossberg5427 Před rokem

      A House is not a Home doesn't belong in this show. It was put in so Kristen Chenoweth had yet another shrieking, wailing moment center stage. She totally derailed this production.
