Fun fact, in the very first cutscene, they foreshadow how to beat the final boss:
The flame dancer pierced the two holes in the lantern, at the exact spot where Kyle was aiming the arrows at the weak point from Oltura.
I never noticed that.
When Ratha came back I can honestly say I'd never been so happy to see a Rathalos in my entire life.

Yo Kyle is the fcking MVP of the game, he had such a good character development
Eh I found him quite annoying at the start but they sort of redeemed him at the end

I love how Kyle and our Rider are two side of the same coin and in the end they come together as the whole coin as one understanding the other and vice versa, honestly one of my favourite character development from any game easily!

it came out only a month ago (basically the time you wrote this). it didn’t get a sequel for a longggg time, it’s on PC and Switch rn and there’s a demo.
This is one of the coolest final boss in all of Monster Hunter.
Also one that actually would fit in the mainline MH games in term of its design, not too overdesigned like Makili Pietru. Especially since we got weird looking Elder Dragons like Vaal Hazak, Namielle, Xeno'jiiva, Shara Ishvalda, and the duo Storm Serpents.

@@jaedite Capcom put up something regarding showing any story stuff until July 9th hits, plus youtubers tend to record stuff early and then have a set date to release the video.

There's simply no way that the story final boss monster would be something that we already know for long time and outright spoiled its full appearance in a promotional trailer beforehand lol.
Dire Miralis is the only exception, but people at that time had zero idea about Miralis being the final boss monster for MH3 Ultimate before the game release. Plus, Dire Miralis was also a new monster for said game and the series as a whole.

The Fatalis fight in stories 1 had a “instant kill move” that both killed you and your monstie. So to win you needed the have all 3 of your hearts to “win”

That "Shara spirit bomb" part. If you already aware of the absurd powerful monsters from MH Frontier, you would realize that there are monsters who used spirit bomb/giant ball of energy way before Shara got introduced in Iceborne. The examples are, Black Flame Fatalis, Hardcore Rajang, Hardcore Amatsu, Berserk Laviente, Guanzorumu etc.
Not to mention the amount of bosses and RPG characters outside of MH games that can use giant ball of energy as their attacks. A thing that RPG/JRPG fans should be aware already. All I'm saying is that, Shara's spirit bomb isn't a unique concept at all.
Plus, in the final phase of Oltura where it would charge its spirit bomb attack for five turns by using the move 'Swallow'. If you fail to stop it, then Oltura will perform the move of 'Luminosity' to compress the massive energy ball, into much smaller and condensed version of it before throwing the Orb at the player. The Devs from mainline series could use/copy the way of Oltura firing its Luminosity and make it so that Oltura doesn't just charge a spirit bomb and then simply throw it after the energy ball got big enough like Shara's ultimate does.

This fight took me only two attempts, but each attempt was over an hour, I haven't felt this satisfied beating a boss in a long time.

@@wellbornthrower596 Well, you're not wrong, but it's a bit more complicated than that. The metamorphosis requires a lot of energy, and that energy is usually stored in mass.

It's already a cycle of its own at this point. Since we always find certain channel posted the final boss fight often with spoiler thumbnail or title revealing the final boss name in matter of hours or few days after the launch of certain games.

That's how recommendation on CZcams works at times. You watched one video about MH, the next thing you know, they would recommend you anything that is about MH. And we have no control of it at all as far as I'm aware.

Tbf, a lot of monsters shared the roars of other monster:
For example, G.Jaggi's enraged roar is Tzitzi yaku;
Basarios has Uragaan's roar
Deviljho has Rajang's OOGA BOOGAs (the most bizarre one for me lmao)
Oltura has Bazel's roar whenever he charges; etc.
This was also a thing back in Stories 1. I think it's mainly due to time constraints

@??? pg3d Uh, no? It has been never stated that Fatalis is the number one monster in the series. Definitely one of the top, but nowadays there are a few elder dragons that can take him on if not even surprass him. Alatreon, Safi'Jiiva, Dalamadur, a handful of Frontier monsters, etc.

The only downside of every mh stories is that they not make an armor of exclusive elder dragon :(
This boss would be fun isn't wasn't for the fact that it can glitch on the last part sometimes. Occasionally when you break both wings in one turn it doesn't pick up that you actually broke them and that means you instantly have lost the fight and have to start from the beginning because there are no checkpoints on the fight. Honestly the whole thing becomes pretty lame if you have to repeat the ENTIRE FUCKING FIGHT because the game glitches out. I had to do it five times before it finally picked up that I broke the wings. Ruined the whole fight and now I just hate that he exists at all, almost ruined my opinion of the entire game. Pretty lame really. 2/10 would not fight again.

This fight was so much easier than Nergigante. One try vs twelve. I mean a level 43 Pukei Pukei with ridiculous traits pretty much killed anything that looked at it wrong.
