when I watched this as a kid with my Dad, he started laughing so hard at this scene that he was coughing, crying, choking, and couldn't breath. I actually had never seen him laugh that hard before then and at first I thought was something wrong with him and maybe he was dying, haha.
The parrot actually needed constant inflation during the scene and it flew off in one take by mistake and was kept in. Some of the best jokes happen by mistake.
This scene always cracked me up but more than that I was always blown away by Seller's acting ability. Just think of it, he's an Englishman who is acting to have a French accent (a silly one but still) and then he is playing a guy with a French accent who is pretending to talk with a Swedish accent!!! I mean how do you even begin to wrap your mind around that? lol. Absolutely classic.
Of course, a big part of the humor in this scene is the fact that even though Clouseau -- pardon me, Chief Inspector Clouseau! -- is supposed to be "under-the-covers" and in disguise, the security guard recognizes him IMMEDIATELY.
This was without a doubt one of my fathers favorite movie scenes of all time. My dad could imitate this Peter Sellers character perfectly. Freakin hilarious.
As a Swedish person, I find this clip hillarious beyond belief! hahah! "Horne flörni hiirne höörn, sven!" Kills me! :D

The wooden leg in Swedish national colours is a nice touch.
HA ha, as a Swede i think that Clouseau learned swedish from the swedish chef. I must have seen this a thousand times, but its still as funny as ever.

All those actors who could keep a straight face while acting with sellers are the real MVPs.
The look on Alfie Bass’s face when he first sees him is priceless. Superb acting.....

"Swine leg!"
I love that when the parrot blows away the feet are still attached to Clouseau's shoulder. One of the funniest moments in comedy ever!
I wonder how many outtakes they had to do I'm pissing my self laughing 🤣🤣🤣🤣☘️☘️☘️
That dog is a great actor.
Clouseau reading the guys palm in Swedish! Hilarious!
