- Let me tell you a little story about something that plagues the Original Xbox, even to this day. It is so much of a threat, people are taking precautions to protect themselves from it, and to keep their consoles working.
Have you ever heard of the "Kill Screen"? No? Well, this devious little error not only breaks your system, it fries the internal components so badly that the Xbox is bricked beyond repair. If you get the error, it is highly advised that you should do what it tells you rather than try to push your luck.
There are 3 signs the "Kill Screen" is imminent:
1: Your Xbox runs hotter than usual, almost too hot.
2: There are noticable graphical glitches in your game.
3: The console freezes on a now bugged and distorted dashboard.
If you get the "Kill Screen", you will start to notice the bootup sequence becoming all glitchy with pixels. The console gives you several warnings to avoid using the console until it is repaired. If you ignore these warnings, you will get a chance to use the built-in Recovery Mode.
Please note that Recovery Mode does not work all the time. In fact, there is a 90% chance that proceeding with the system recovery will destroy the internals and leave the system bricked beyond repair, now only sending you to the "service required" screen with an unknown error code.
There have also been people that have been reporting this to Microsoft's customer support team, and every time, Microsoft cuts these people a check to afford a new Xbox, because not even they can fix this issue plaguing their video game console. It is a destructive bug not even the creators can fix.
At this point, the system is fried, unusable. Back in the day, if you called up the Customer Support team about this, they would issue you a check for a new Xbox. I am not sure if this service is still being provided by Microsoft, but if it isn't, then your only hope is to buy a brand-new Xbox and that to God hope you don't recieve it again.
The "Kill Screen" is a rare error to encounter, with it only appearing on one OG Xbox out of 20,000 every year. If you get the "Kill Screen", do not ignore the warnings and/or errors. Turn off the console and send it away to be repaired or you might just be begging your parents for a new one later on.

For anyone who wonder the origins of creepy sounds at 8:12 , those sounds are real but were found after someone extracted the hard drive to their computer and found those sounds

Kill Screen Endings (Best to Worst):
-Best Ending: Your device isn't of the few having the issue to begin with, so you're safe!
-Good Ending: The Recovery Mode works and you keep playing as normal.
-Neutral Ending: You listen to the first warning and send it to repair.
-Bad Ending: The device is bricked.
-Worst Ending: The device explodes due to the heat.
I've never seen neutral or worst but bad happens a lot that's for sure😂
Even worse ending : The device explodes leaving you badly injured, you slowly bleed out and die

Happened to me with my 3ds, but the issue wasn't the console bc it works perfectly after 11 years; but one cartridge. Pokemon OR/AS. The cartridges have become unusable to many people now, and it causes the console to crash everytime. It was subtle at the start, then it crashed on one specific part, and then the game wouldn't even boot. Sad tbh.

The xbox graphics chip is modern enough that it would never be able to produce something like this due to an error. Yes, and there can be no interference on inscriptions like “No Signal”, even on a recording.

The music gets creepier as the warnings go on, the screen, glitchier, the colors, less saturated, the messages, seems like you are getting yelled at. It starts getting really creepy durring the third warning (4:39) and I have not seen the rest so I will make an edit. 5th warning, noises not too creepy, words insanely blurry and glitchy. 6th warning, Became red and the words are no longer in a box.

So heres a fanmade story to this video:
A 13 Year Old Boy Just Had A Long Day Yesterday, So He Wanted To Get On His Xbox And Play Some Psychonauts. During The Playtime, His Screen Started Glitching, but he didn’t care! He had a long day yesterday. So he kept playing, but the console crashed, and after it relaunched, it was a bit more glutchy than last time. The game somehow relaunched, then crashed again. He was going through his console to find the game, but it wasnt there.. the screen broke, and then he got a warning on his screen. Still Didnt care. He relaunched the system, and The screen was a more glitchy, but still didnt care. Then, it started getting worse, and worse, and the xbox kept shutting down and reopening, until there was a warning to keep the console off, but he was fed up with these warnings. Not only the screen got worse, but the console got worse and worse, it went into recovery mode but that didn’t even work, and there were some creepy sounds in the warnings, too. He was a bit spooked, but more fed up than that. Eventually, he accidentally broke his Xbox because The Boy did not listen. He was even more sad, and now he knew that he just made his day(s) even worse.
Life lesson; do what is told.
Summing Up We should use our consoles properly as per the instructions or if you don’t follow the instructions, then, your console will crash up and your money will be wasted and You cannot buy the new one.
Value being thought Use your “Consoles” Properly.
Taking it to Microsoft was a good solution in my opinion.

The probable reason why the 3rd warning has a creepy sound is to move you away from rebooting the console again.
