Wang is not traditional, uses mixed trad./rpbh, no high-toss. He's more like LGL.
tubeist- dan But Liu Guoliang uses RPB too. I’d say more like Jiang Jialiang.
When you see them both play against defenders, you can see that they're different. He Zhi Wen pretty much lifts every ball, never does underspin, while Shan is brilliant against defenders because she varies lifts, soft topspins, smashes and short underspin balls. Also their blocking technique on the backhand side is quite different
That old woman chopper at the and was very solid. There are many Chinese women who still play competitively waay over the average age. (Shan is also above the age)

Short pips is just weaker to generate spin not no spin, so yes you can still loop with short pips

She prefers to have rubber on her backhand probably because she used to it. I think that you can play without backhand rubber, Kaii Yoshida on men side play only with forehand rubber, Cazuo Matsumoto...
