Considering how actual nature can have some very uncanny forms of camouflage, it isn't too unreal to have this SCP have specific adaptations that makes its mouthpart ressemble a drain to near perfection.

@@reversenyancat1691 the bug bus has an explication to it it’s chitin that just looks like bus parts from afar but upon inspection it’s clearly not a normal bus. With this it’s just “ya it just can do this thing don’t question how”. This creature isn’t some outer space god or eldritch abomination, it’s an almost realistic animal that you could see existing. It’s on the same like as that giant centipede scp that can make its tail look exactly like an old man in a robe and can create a portal to its stomach if it makes an arch out of its body.
It should be noted that it literally would not qualify as an SCP unless there was something particularly anomalous about it - the foundation typically doesn't care if there's a horrible predator, they only care if it's anomalous.
Just to increase your fear: there’s actually something that looks like this called a Lamprey, but don’t worry as it doesn’t eat humans, it feeds on paddlefish

The perfect test to indicate if your drain, toilet, shower, etc. is an SCP-153 instance:
1. Wear a face shield so the worm can't latch onto your mouth.
2. Stab the drain, toilet, shower, etc. with any bladed object to kill the creature.
3. Pour toxic chemicals over the drain, toilet, etc. to kill the creature. (Do not to use on showers and faucets).
Do these repeatedly whenever you go to the bathroom and you can go take a bath with little to no casualties.
OR do what sensible people do... send in your little brother first.

I think this is one of those instances where letting the public know about the SCP would be better than hiding it.
With the knowledge we have, dealing with the worms isn't really that hard. Manufacturers can adapt their drain covers, pipe lines can be adjusted in size.
Or even simply try pouring something down the drain before using them. Or just use a long stick and poke to check.
The creature is infact pretty vulnerable by positioning its' mouth like that.
Honestly I doubt this worm should even be classified as an SCP, it's just a dangerous wild animal

The scp foundation wouldn't let the public know about their existance, In the other hand, The serpents hand would try to make the public aware.
Honestly the only anomalous thing about these worms is their camouflage ability (which might not even be anomalous, see octopuses and cuttlefish) and maybe their voracious appetites. They’re very dangerous, but they aren’t much of an anomaly, they just have some very specific adaptations.
It’s like if they designated Box Jellyfish as an anomaly because of how they can kill you in minutes with their venom and they are almost transparent.
