    Build quality and interior design are a huge plus for the jaguar

      Same here!
      Compared the I-Pace with the Audi Etron and the Tesla Model 3 in 2019.
      The Etron is simply more of a boat than a car if you like a sporty ride.
      The Model 3's interior is very bland and minimalistic. Build quality is also very much less than both the Etron and the I-Pace.
      Ended up getting myself a white I-Pace Business Edition model.
      Now, after 13 months and 30K km, I am still very happy with my decision.
      Car handles beautifully, ride is excellent and comfortable, build and paint quality is very good. Excellent Meridian sound system.
      Have had ZERO issues with the car. Range is about 440-450 km in summer and about 340-360 km in this time of the year.
      The one minus point of single phase charging has never been an issue for me (I checked that before buying). This is solved in the '21 model which is of course very good.
      So, in all, very happy owner hear.

      Mike W I’m waiting on my electric car hopefully in the next few months. Really unless ur driving more than two hundred miles a day ur good. Ur charging every night. Trips these take a little more to charge than others but a break for lunch or dinner should be a good charge. But gowns without chargers can be a pain.

    theres a reason why people buy Teslas though. IPace is a good car. Drives great, build quality great. But Teslas have performance, tech, SC network, infotainment, efficiency. Sure if you want more luxurious features you can find it on other cars but most people just want comfort and in any Tesla the seats are pretty comfy. I own a model x and a y. I had a 3 but traded it in for the y.

    Hi, you are shooting a good video, you are telling a lot of interesting things. But you don't let me consider the interior and exterior design. You are constantly in a hurry and do not let you see the interior elements. Also, your hands and fingers often fall into the frame and cover part of the screen. Take a camera that doesn't distort the design of the car. In the chamber, the car becomes unnaturally twisted)). Thanks for your review! Good luck and health.

  • @Antontoo
    @Antontoo Před 4 lety +11

    Model Y is $52k with 316 mile range, this is $80k+ with 234 mile range, no serious charging network and half the cargo capacity. Jaguar couldn't sell these before the Y and now it's game over - for all it's good looks and premium materials iPace is just too impractical and expensive.

    • @DSKSeattle
      @DSKSeattle Před 3 lety +4

      This is like comparing combustion cars based on fuel tank size and trunk space. Tesla has a lot to catch up on build quality. Once they fix that, they can compete with premium brands.

    • @Antontoo
      @Antontoo Před 3 lety +1

      @@DSKSeattle No it isn't like that. There is a gas station on every other corner and you fill up in a min. Range, charging availability and speed is a serious issue here. Tesla sold twice more Model Ys in 2 covid filled Qs than iPace sold in two years. So who is it that "can't compete"?

    • @michaelfjmusic
      @michaelfjmusic Před 3 lety

      True. I also imagine that repair bills are gonna be much more painful for the Jaguar as well.

    • @Antontoo
      @Antontoo Před 3 lety +1

      @Charles-Antoine Dumoulin I went road tripping 8 hours away in my Model Y just fine. I don't really know if that would be possible in a car without Tesla's supercharger network. I carry 5 people sometimes, def more space in the rear, but cargo space is where Y really destroys the Jaguar.

    • @Antontoo
      @Antontoo Před 3 lety

      @Charles-Antoine Dumoulin Y has more interior and MUCH more cargo space. It's also considerably cheaper and infotainment system makes jaguar's center console look like laggy legacy crap. Those are very real reasons. P.S. No moonroof, no leaks.

    I'd take the i-pace over the Tesla X, the jag looks more futuristic, lower to the ground, & the Tesla SUV's back doors look dumb ... it's not a lambo. Looks more like a gimmick, suicide doors (on the Tesla) would've looked better IMO.

      @@arrowlogproductions2509 Yes, I have, and since changed my mind about the purchase of an EV (I will be ordering a cybertruck with full fsd before the price goes up on July first). The point is SC stations are still far and away from common, and most, not some, have to go out of their way to find, and use them. I figure if I have a vehicle with a 500 mile range I will never have to use fast charging.
