This pineapple fried rice with the authentic taste of Thai has a perfect balance of sweet and savoury flavours. It is mildly spiced, tasty and healthy with chunks of juicy pineapples.
Pineapple fried rice must have some thick pieces of pineapples and that bolt of Thai flavour. Therefore, fish sauce, turmeric powder and curry powder are tossed with rice over high heat to coat each grain with the seasoning. This is the secret to a mouth-watering plate of fried rice which is so popular in Thailand and even Malaysia. It's a favourite among kids and adults alike. So, it is not a surprise to find pineapple fried rice sold at a street food stall as well as being offered in the menu of a five-star hotel.
The cooking technique for pineapple fried rice does not differ much when compared to preparing other types of fried rice. It's all about the right portion of ingredients, heat and a few basic rules. Of course, it can be prepared easily on a weekday even without using overnight rice. If you are using the whole pineapple, don't throw away the skin but instead turn it into a pineapple bowl.
    Must I use overnight rice?
Why use butter instead of oil?
    Curry powder mixture
    Turmeric for colouring
    Fresh pineapple bowl
    Vegan pineapple fried rice

Hey on the website on my phone the box that comes up when you press the 'add' button to add a recipe to a recipe collection seems to be frozen, and because the ads take up space on the bottom (which would be fine, if I could move the dialogue box), I don't seem to be able to add any more recipes to my collections (I can't click the final 'add' button). The site looks fantastic, can't wait to cook from it, just wanted to bring this IT issue to your attention because it would be easier to use without this problem.

Hi Anna, Thank you so much for sharing. So sorry for the inconvenience. We're working on a brand new design with better functions and you should be able to add recipes to collections with ease. This should happen in this week or next. We'll keep you updated through the newsletter

Just a note, I miss the part at the start where you used to show the ingredients needed for the recipe. I understand the exclusion of this part is to draw people to your website but it was nice to see what to expect of the recipe.

Its better to use over night cooked n chilled rice. I can see your fried rice is bit watery instead of fluffy.

Hey MG, this recipe is just a guide to show you how you can whip up a delicious meal quickly. As mentioned in the video and written recipe on the website, you can of course use overnight rice. ;) Unfortunately, not many have overnight rice at home all the time and would eventually decide to eat out because cooking seems so troublesome. We hope sharing such recipe can encourage others to cook and take control of the food they consume.

hi MG actually doing fried rice...its better to use fresh cook rice bcos its more moisture ...whereas nonya cooking fried rice looks watery its bcos of the frozen green peas n the watery pineapple...she should have defroze the peas n soak dry the pineapple with kitchen towel
