Working side by side with Coyote was Awesome and I hope to work with him again......
As soon as he said common snapping turtle is being added around 14:20, i paused and looked at the setup. " He is gonna get out and live his best life"

I can see your turtles climbing out of that enclosure a lot
they probably could, but i think its designed so they dont want to
turtles are pretty inelegant....becasue of their vulnerability and lack of mobility i doubt it wil put itself in a situation purposefully with even the slightest chance of harm to itself.
@@diandirk3423 you've obviously never owned turtles/ tortoises, they will go out of their way every time to put themselves in a sticky situation 😂

I'd put some kind of barrier on the edges especially that part with the mulch that is flat. Also I would have done something on the backwall. I dont like the way is just goes flush to the white drywall.

This looks amazing! But I gotta ask, aren't you gonna add something there on those edges to prevent the turtles from getting out? Cause they can easily escape that.
I looked back and the rail is actually high up so the turtles won’t be able to climb out

Ok, only thing missing is a uvb/uva/heat basking area for the painted turtle.
Need to add a realistic "woods" wall paper mural, maybe a couple fuax stones like shelves, then add some taxidermy stuff on them, squirrel, ferns, couple birds on branches, etc. 👍

We have talked about that, but would probably use a local artist. The mural behind the bear was only done in the past 2 months.
This was great. Was really nice to see how this could be done indoors.

3:27 wow, quite impressive Coyote! A long, long time ago my brother, and I used to hide in a box too! We put a little sticker that said Ship this package to the UK, but now I think I'm to big to fit in the boxes, but you're able to! So I don't know, maybe we could? And I'd write please ship this package to Santa Monica, California! And then I'd be the happiest person alive, that is if I actually managed to get shipped there.

So, are the bags of mulch being used as ballast under the pond liner to build up the landscape? It wont continue to compress under those heavy rocks?

That looks incredible! That is truly art! I do though no turtles like simple. They're not very graceful animals they get stuck in and around things and flip upside down periodically. Hopefully you get some small and very graceful Turtles for that habitat.
How do you prevent a log that’s half in and half out of the water from getting mold? I always see them getting moldy..
Have you guys tried using “scrub” (blue lid white tub) wipes to get the spray foam off your hands? Work at a urethane coatings place and they work wonders.

Snap! I'm fortunate enough to only be about a hour and a half away I'm there.
16:00 used to paint rocks, and paint them into ladybug rocks, I got the idea from the channel "Sprout", and I chose a favorite rock, I used to love rock's.

Where is the lights on basking area?
Beautiful indoor pond great for a nature center a realistic view of their habitat, not a fan of taxidermist dead animals much rather see video's or beautiful photo's in a nature presentation!
I know of a youtuber who has several Aquascape ponds who checks the skimmers regularly because his turtles get in and can't get out if they climb over the basket. Usually they're alive but once he found a dead baby turtle that had drowned

How many gallons? I had one turtle inside for years and it stunk like crazy had to do water changes all the time at least once a week.
Probably around 500 gallons. You need good filtration for turtles.
