Using a belt properly requires alot of discipline ppl put a belt on and assume jt will keep you safe the core should be trained with or without a belt on I use a belt for every workout regardless of weight or movement but iv also condition my core to stay tight and controlled

Shaq made a comment about his career a few months ago, how after retirement he has this huge property that he is living on, but his home is completely quiet and empty, not in a positive way people 😂. He mentioned if he could change some things from his playing days he would. It's important to realize that your career is great and all but you still want to make sure that family is the main priority. Great podcast guys!!

I had a hernia without using a belt. But it’s something that I got from weight gain. And when I lost 160 and was pushing to get into for a challenge it popped and strangled. But it was caused by the original weight gain, and I ignored it too long, so on the loss it went loose

I noticed you said as you get older you’ll go to machines alot more but i disagree. Maybe around 40 you’re right but i think by time we are all 60 we will all be doing more functional lifting, things like standing barbell overhead, burpees, deadlift, squats things to keep us fit and strong

There is no functional need to do any of those exercises. After the age of 40, most people are just bending down to tie their shoes, pick up cans at the bottom of the cupboard and isometrically holding things overhead like painting etc. There is no functional need in modern-day society to do fucking burpees 😝
