My daddy told me if they didn’t eat hog or eggs they didn’t eat and he lived till 86. His friends to and they smoked them old camel cigarettes, some of them still alive😂😂, anyway thanks for the video.

Don't nobody know how good it is to be able to ,not only cook like this, but be self sufficient in butchering your own meat. There wasn't any processors back in the day. I never seen one until I got stuck in the mud here in Georgia. I still can't get out. Anyway, I absolutely love this video. Hank Williams Jr. had it right. A country boy can survive.
Great Video Buck ! A lost family tradition..I remember in the 60s sitting around a fire with my Dad and Uncles and cooking a pig in the ground and making hog head hash on the 3rd of July. I'm so glad there's people like you still showing how some parents still take their kids hunting and teach them basics..my baby girl turned 44 today and I remember her first deer and turkey. God Bless You for not backing down from all these liberals and showing what God put on this earth for us to harvest and enjoy and by the way that hash looked amazing!! Enjoy !!
I appreciated this video a little more just bc I’m local. I go to JC’s for for herring when I fish and it’s super convenient to pick up ammo as I am one of those WMA hunters down the street
I cut all me deer up myself. I taught my son and my 2 daughters how to butcher deer up. I started taking my kids hunting when they we're 6 months old. Now they can't live without hunting.
I grew up on hog lard. It makes the food so much better tasting. I love hash but not a lot of people like it. I could eat hash everyday with eggs and biscuits and gravy.
I was hoping for some smelly vision. I almost licked the computer screen! I like red hash too from like Hudson's Smoke House in Lexington. That is the kind of hash I grew up on. I would tear that deer hash too.
Enjoyed the video. I'm planning a deer hash this weekend. We live in Newberry. My wife is from Gilbert. Was just curious where y'all from. We used to butcher several hogs a year as well. But nobody seems to want to do it anymore since my uncle passed.

The only reason they say lard is bad. To get you to buy their trash oils. Old folks lived longer because big pharma was around n growed n raised their own food .I'm going back to raising mine I won best hash in 2013. And my Brunswick stew is the orinal recipe from ga. My family been cooking it over 200 yrs. I was taught by the best to make hash n sides. My bbq hash n sides the best in SC n my sauces
Im single and live by myself and i can eat 3 deer a year 4 if i get a doe in late season archery. Im not hunting this year i gotta get rid of this tumor i have and then chemo. If everything goes good i'll be chasing deer next year.
I have never tried deer hash I'm gonna have to find the recipe and make me some of that stuff i process my own deer so I've pretty much got everything here to do it just got to find a recipe and make it happen
