    Hi Mark, great articulate review as always.Nice to have a realistic road type review covering all the things we need to know.Anybody can do silly stuff on these but your videos aim at the more intelligent rider.As I am getting back into bikes after 19 years away, I will publicly thankyou for bringing me up to speed with the current crop of bikes.I look forward to test riding some bikes with you soon! Probably off camera.I may be testing the Ducati V4r at Winchester soon, be good to compare notes with you on the S1000rr m.Keep up the quality work and in my view change nothing from your current format.See you soon, like the old days! • @alexmorgan3435
    @alexmorgan3435 Před 5 lety +2

    The base spec prices you quote I don't think anyone ever buys a bike without the options which actually BMW should include. Most people will be looking at paying £18.5 to £20k for one of these. I think it was designed more as a track bike but BMW also designed it to be good on the roads as well especially with the shift cam or VVT technology. Most people who ride these their ability will fall well short of the bike's capabilities. In any case you couldn't begin to scratch the surface of what the bike can do unless you are on a track and then you'd have to have balls of tungsten carbide and more. In any case I would buy one simply because it doesn't have keyless ignition.

    Very nice to know about the BMW S1000RR , from you ., but do bring in more details about the performance of this w. r..t. Ducati Panigale V4R, Aprilia RS4, Yamaha YZR-M1, and by this it will be more practical ,as those above superbike companies have also installed hi-tech digital speedo instrument panel having many of it's bike control settings as this BMW has. So do bring out it's capability at different settings as with that of the above bikes in coming videos. Take care, bye.

Although bike sales are better than they've been for a long time, the costs of a dealership must be huge and the margins so low. I live in Canada and just saw a horrible review of this in Canada that was just a bad review because the guy was a terrible reviewer. You are by far one of the best reviewers I have seen. The bike reviewed in the US by an American motorcycle magazine reviewer complained about low end power and something about it being restricted severely due to EPA regulations and in dire need of an ECU flash that would hopefully clear that up. Unfortunately the Canadian reviewer was so lazy as far as details, well, maybe he works for BMW. The US model was being track tested and the reviewer did not like the vibration through the handle bars. He also didn't feel that the suspension was doing what it was intended. He eventually thought maybe it was just that bike.

    New R1m Carbon build quality on this is so poor ...I have ridden one engine cooks itself and plastic grills fell off....controls on handlebars coming loose...paint job from sports direct...gearbox excellent ...there is a reason these have been delayed full marketing hype...
