Very cool hearing about how the technical aspects come together here! Have to echo everyone else that I would love to see your reaction to the All Too Well: The Short Film behind the scenes and also would love to see your reaction to The Man behind the scenes, there are a few different videos Taylor posted of behind the scenes for that music video. Since that was the first one she fully self-directed, I find it interesting to go back to it!

Really great explanations! I’ve watched all your Taylor Swift videos so far and enjoyed all of them. Would love to hear your thoughts on Blank Space, or any of other of her other videos really! Cardigan and Willow would be fun as a two-parter, since the first leaves off directly where the next begins. She also directed both of those, and Cardigan has a behind the scenes video too.

So I am back with too much to say.
1) the “guy” she was sitting in the flowers with was Rina Yang, her DP she also used for ATW Short Film. Taylor loves her and uses her a lot.
2) in the LR dance scene, when she is sitting on the floor in front of the couch, I am pretty positive that that is Laverne Cox sitting on the couch behind her. So not only is her primary actor trans, so is Laverne. Using them at a time when Trans people are under attack makes a loud statement.
3) you will notice she is also showing the extras in the LR dance scene the video. She is very good about sharing EXCEPT the actual music! If she films a MV before the album or song drops, then she has inner ears to mouth along, while every one else works to a beat track so they are dancing on time.
4) idea: maybe after breaking it down in BTS videos, reshow the actual final video so while your comments are fresh, we can see it all play out.
Awesome idea!! And OH NO. I feel horrible about calling her a guy... Ugh maybe because most of her face was covered up or something- oof completely my bad.

@@Videoeditorreacts don’t worry about it. I totally see why you made the mistake. I think she was wearing a baseball cap too (?) which women wear but not with same frequency as men, especially when working.
That’s not Laverne Cox but yes the love interest in the video is played by Laith Ashley, who is a Trans Man
