The fact that you got to unlock duelling, and bonus levels for single player and co-op was amazing, and the levels based on the film were pretty damn great
MrTardis11 this game is so good in my opinion. I wish it was remastered. The only problem I had with it though,is that yoda and darth sidious weren't characters that you could unlock in multiplayer mode.
@@isaacwatts452 I agree I wanted a bonus level where you could play the Yoda vs Sidious lightsaber duel, if they were duellists that would be amazing 😁 we'll it would have been difficult for Yoda as he's very small but oh well, at least we got Yoda in a small capacity with that one bonus level so better than nothing. Revenge of the Sith was a great game and very rewarding. I guess cause they thought at the time it would potentially be the last Star Wars film they threw everything at the game :)

Back in the day when LucasArts put actually effort into producing a good quality product complete with movie footage, artwork and alternate endings. This game must have been a real treat when it came out.
It was. Had a blast, one of the better movie games. And I remember it coming out BEFORE the movie, thats impossible nowadays.

I'm surprised this game has no mention of Padme, the very REASON why Anakin turned to the dark side in the first place, so he could save her from death by letting Palpatine teach him! He gave into his feelings for her!
Ray Kniga-Bartlett Padme was one of the factors. He also wanted more power.
This game was released about a month before the movie. So I'm guessing they couldn't follow the exact movie story for the game, and not spoil things for the movie release a month later. That's also why you don't decapitate Dooku in the game, and you don't cut off Windu's hand, like in the movies.

I remember loving this game as a kid
I remember hating it because i was really bad at it but at the same time i loved star wars si i kept trying to play it thinking i'd soon get better but never did.
This game was my whole childhood i remember booting up my PS2 as a 6 year old just playing through this and enjoying it. I'm surprised to find out it was a 5 hour game considering the fact it took me days to complete. I guess it was because I had a curfew for bed haha. This game will go down in history in my life. It will never die. Long live Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith.

I always found it super badass when playing as Anakin before his fall to the Dark Side, it played a lighter theme at the results, but when playing as Anakin as Cloaked Vader on the results screen, it plays The Emperor's theme.

I liked how in the game Obi-Wan Kenobi Vs. Darth Vader (Anakin Skywalker) was very similar to Luke Skywalker Vs. Darth Vader in Return of The Jedi. This is What Obi-Wan Vs. Anakin should have been. Also Anakin should have had a red lightsaber in the fight as well.
At 41:14 I think is a nod to what Luke said to Vader in Return of The Jedi.

If I remember correctly for the final battle if you were playing co-op it would switch to PvP with one playing as obi-wan and the other playing anakin kinda like in the movie through out the entire game you've been working together but now you have to fight each other.

One of the best star wars games ever created. Better than The Force Unleashed. Close to on par with Jedi Outcast and Academy imo. Especially with the dueling mechanics and combos.

You know what's sad? Anakin may have been manipulated into taking the dark side by Palpatine, but he is fully aware of what he's doing. He even cries a little in a short clip in the movie. And don't even get started on the deleted scene! In that, he literally begs Obi-Wan to save him!
Anakin was manipulated and willingly made the choice to betray Mace, but how much of his decisions after were his own is debatable, especially now that it's canon he and Vader are confirmed to be split personalities. The attack on the temple and the assassination of the separatists was done by Vader. When Padme meets him again on Mustafar, Vader had almost completely taken over and Anakin's original intention of going to the dark side to save her had been muddied by greed and a desire for greater control and power.
We need a new revenge of the Sith game for ps4 and xbox, or a star wars game following all 3 trilogies, where we play both unseen events like anakin start of jedi training, the jedi trials and clone wars, they just need to get stories from novels and both animated shows, I think anakin's story out of the main trilogies is pretty interesting

I bought this when it was brand new and I was not disappointed. It SO deserves a reboot/re-release and should be used as a model for how to do light saber/Force combination fighting. It was so much fun using objects in the environment to Force pull and slam into enemies. The level progression, Anakin's moves switching from light to dark were all very well done.
One of the very few based-from-movie games that is actually QUITE QUITE GOOD!!!!!!!!!! so many memories playing this hours and hours...
I played this game on ps2 over a decade ago and now I'm watching this whole playthrough while drinking because it was in my recommended section.
