In May 2017 DJI announced and release of their smallest drone ever, the DJI Spark. The Spark weighed only 300 grams and featured a 2 axis HD 1080p 12 megapixel camera. Also featured the all new advanced flight mode named Gesture, where in the users could control the piloting of their drone with simple hand motions.

I am glad someone else is still using the Spark in 2022, I just bought another Spark and 3 Batteries off eBay for 120 quid (considering the batteries are super expensive and hard to find) - LOVE my Spark.

Nice video as part of your series on the Spark Shaun, many thanks for putting it together and sharing. 50 quid for a Spark would indeed be a very good investment - with a few working batteries though as the battery life is so short as you have shown. It’ll be interesting to see how active track compares on the Mavic Pro now the tech has moved on a bit. 👍

Came here because I am having the same issue and almost lost my drone because after it stopped tracking for no reason eu just shot up and really far away. Since I don't have the controller and use my mobile phone I lost connection with the done! Thank God for the RTH function or else I would have lost it.
But at least I know to get this active track working out of my head.

Hi Shaun, I had a spark (my first drone) and found the active track a little hit and miss, just as you showed in this video.
It seemed to get fed up and stop tracking for no good reason. It's something I didn't really use. Now I have the Mini 2, which doesn't have the active track or any sensors which worried me at first but having had a bit more experience with drones I'm very happy with it. No doubt the new Mini 3 will have active track and sensors, I'm guessing, so we'll see if that one is any good. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Mike, I loved the Follow Me mode on the Phantom drones and when this tracking came out, plus you could do a 360, even better. I'm just going through my old drones at the moment but hoping when the weather is fine again to try out the Mini 2 with the Litchi app as you can do tracking but I'm not expecting to be great as the Litchi app tracking was not great and may be hit and miss but worth giving it a go. The weather is looking better next week and hopefully when you arrive, plenty of sun. Many thanks for watching :)
Only the mini 3 pro has it not the standard
@@travelwithme7133 I now have the mini 3 pro and its perfect for me, does everything I need it to do and with the added advantages of 249gms.

What’s “Active Track 360” ? Is this a different function ?
Well done Chris, it's just "Active Track", but you can set it to circle the car or yourself while on the move but as you saw, didn't work. Many thanks for watching and your comment :)
