New Boat Project | 1995 Shakespeare Summersport | PART 1

In today's episode I show you around our latest project, a classic 1990's Shakespeare Summersport speedboat. It is 17ft long, has a Evinrude 65hp outboard and in need of a total restoration.

@@skipperstan I have a Shakespeare 650 Mk2 but there is an argument that the boats are not related.
Shakespeare boats existed originally under the ownership of Bill Shakespeare. Then after they closed down the moulds were sold to Waverider who made your Summersport in Essex (I think).
Then in the early 1990's, Shakespeare was resurrected by the late Francis Whitley who made my 650.
Technically they are all 3 different companies but the original spirit of Shakespeare runs throughout in my opinion....

Thank you! Hopefully, I will start work on restoring it very soon, and will make a few episodes so you can all see the progress. Can't wait to get it out on the water!

@@skipperstan we had her out 2 years ago now she ran lovely mr father inlaw wanted one as i have 2 fletcher's iam restoring.
Sadly he got ill in November and passed week and half ago ... shame as we had planned on getting out in summer ...
will be looking out for you follow up vid ... hope you feel better soon skipper 👍🏻

Hello and thank you for your comment! No progress as yet due to the bad weather here in the UK, however, I do plan to get started on restoring the Shakespeare very very soon and then getting it out on the water! I will be uploading new episodes for you to watch very soon! 😀
