I really liked how you thought about earthly things. from my understanding you came across shopping as if an item brings joy (and you are able to) you should get it. that's the mentality of maximalism, because it is very true that objects CAN bring joy. I have never had much luck with night gowns at thrift stores, maybe it's because I need to hit a different demographic (normally I hit the closest goodwill to the upper middle class city county, but I'm betting it's the rural old white women who are holding out on me lmao) but I've found better luck on ebay, however the plus size options can sometimes leave much to be desired, it really just depends on who has what at that moment.
yea i never really have luck with night gowns at thrift stores either but i have been looking on ebay/vinted/poshmark/etc! it’s just hard bc sometimes u have a very specific image in your head and trying to find that in plus size is a headache (to say the least) 😭
