Back onboard and enjoying the Caribbean! Follow Motor Yacht Loon on their youtube channel @motoryachtloon Thanks to Blair for the drone footage - give hime a follow on instagram @Blair_vb
Originally started watching this channel because I wanted to learn more about yachting - stayed for Nina's energy, enthusiasm and awesomeness. Glad you're back, you inspire so much professional pride and I'm not even a chef!
The thing that blows my mind on Nina's videos, is how amazingly professional she is. So well organized, always positive and what I have seen here and also at instagram, she makes foods that look so good. She is one of these superhumans, that can do what ever they want. And our society needs people like Nina. We need examples to see how things get done. She is totally an asset for vessel / business like Loon. And she is so natural on the front of the camera. Just wow. ( I am having a small fanboy moment here, but what can you do ;D )
I worked in 🇬🇧 Foodservice for 35 years, now retired, and we used to love the cruise ship orders we got for their size. Watching your channel I can now see the pure planning that goes behind the orders, which is amazing. Bet you have to be creative when you run out of something too! Another great video ✅😊
I've been watching your videos and Loon's videos and like yours sooooo much better. I hope that doesn't get you into trouble. We actually get to see you doing what you are talking about. When I watch Loon's videos all they do is talk about what they are going to do, or what they did as opposed to showing us. Keep it up. Your videos on crew life are fascinating.
I have to say, You are the most impressive chef and so cheerful about it all.. It shows that you truly love what you do.!! And I have to add, so organized. There's a new job in your future ( I HOPE)...LOL
Nina's channel has grown impressively now she is part of Loon. She is showing an insight you usually would not see on the main channel as it focuses on the galley and some of the main channel 'alike'. It is incredible to see how Loon does its marketing. We all know that 99.9 percent of the viewers (unfortunately) cannot afford to charter Loon. However, the main channel and Nina's give us an almost voyeuristic insight into how a higher-end charter is run and the work involved to get a charter going. Hahahaha With the aid of Nina's channel, Loon's main channel will grow to similar subscriber numbers as she has.
😂😂😂 I started watching crew chef with Nina well before Loon. They added her fans when she joined them to their channel which hugely bumped them up so. Win win 👍
I’ve watched one video on your CZcams account and I'm officially hooked! You're so good with the production aspects and your personality makes it so interesting I can't stop watching. Thanks for taking the time from your other job to shoot and edit videos. It's much appreciated by this old tv news photographer/editor! 😄
Oh goodness. I was once a chef up at a remote Alaskan lodge and our provisions were barged up from the lower 48, then flown in sea planes to our site. One time a dockhand unloaded several cardboard boxes of produce onto the back of his small tractor, prepared to drive it to the lodge but put it in reverse and drove himself, the tractor and the produce into the lake instead...and no one told me (kind of figured it out when the boxes arrived dripping lake water, though!
Hi Nina, i'm happy to see you more on yacht Loon. I'm understand 40-50% you say, i'm French from Belgium sorry lol. J'aime ce que tu fais pour l'équipage ! (in French lol)
You are gifted with positivity and super skills. I hope you are happy and keep your spirits always on high. When I get my yacht, I will be coming after you and hubby. 🐻
I love how organized you are. Coming from a background in manufacturing where efficiency is paramount I see the value in it. After all, cooking is simply manufacturing food!
Nina - you always do such great videos - fun, interesting and fabulous editing - music, cutting, pacing - always brilliant. A career beckons as a film director if you have enough of being a chef!
I was JUST wondering how you all went about this! Thank you for taking us with you, I really admire your expertise at this art. People can have all the money in the world but it's nothing without your magic. Thank you for teaching me today. 😊❤
It is allways Fun and Entertainment to watch your Videos. Your Passion in preparing delicous and healty Food for the Guests and the Crew is fantastic. Have a good Time and all the Best for you all.
It's been a while since we have had a video from you Nina. So glad to see you back. I have subscribed to the Loon youtube channel and have seen you there, but have been hanging out for your videos. I think so many of us are intrigued by what goes on inside one of these vessels and the behind the scenes of how the rich live when on these charters. Well done and thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see the next video. From a fellow Aussie!
Thanks for your videos .. I have worked many years in the industry, due to my family expansion ( 3 kids ) I had to leave it . I have many fond memories and your videos take me back .. thanks . Not that many viewers can really deeply understand the joy of finding a good supermarket or restaurant store ! 😅 15 years ago things where a little different in the acces of provisions. Keep up the great work .
Just found your channel by random chance....and so glad I did!! Awesome editing and content and you kill it in the kitchen...or gallery, whichever you call it😂. Plus you are fire! Look forward to more!
GREAT drone shots of the bridge!!! wow, that's close! If you feel up to it, I'd love some "teaching" videos. How to make something. How to serve a dinner-party sized crowd. How roll from B to L to D without looking like you work 20+ hours a day. How to use up leftovers. You've touched on these before, but a re-up would be great!
I'm in rural bum-fuck South Dakota. It's 20 F outside, 5 PM, and already dark. I love watching vids like this, just a happy reminder of all the cool stuff in the world (and in warm places!).
Your provisioning made me remember the days of loading stores on the submarine, only smaller. We would load provisions for a 120 day patrol. We had food stored in every nook and cranny on the boat. Hanging in bags from the overhead, and cans on the deck with mats thrown over them. We would eat our way through the boat while on patrol. Our cooks were amazing, keeping the crew fed for so many days under water.
Amazing energy that you have! What happens to all the food scraps? I would think from a planning perspective that food preps would include setting up the ones that have the most scraps like watermelon (skin) bell peppers and the like.
Although having an alternating-chef arrangement is great because you get a lot of leave, one downside is that you have to keep on rearranging provisions to your liking if you come back and find them not in your preferred order.
Fascinating to see the restocking process? Do you work off a list or from memory? I truly appreciate your organization!! Can’t wait to see what you prepare for this cruise!! Always enjoy your videos!!
Before each charter, the guests are sent a preference sheet... As to what foods they like. She has also explained in previous videos that they have a standard pantry list as well.
Yep, the look on your face, when Paul told you, that there will not be enough room for fenders on both sides at St. Martin' bridge, was the same I had, when he mentioned that in the Loon video... 😯
To start, I love your videos! Suggestions for future videos 1. another more in-depth prep/what goes into making all those elaborate meals with SO many different dishes come out at the same time?! As a mom who struggles with cooking for different preferences so am making multiple dishes (not nearly as fancy unfortunately), I would love to hear your tips/tricks of the trade. 2. You and the other chefs make all the dishes LOOK aesthetically so beautiful - can you share some wisdom for us simple home cooks? 3. The dishes. Does every chef have their own recipe collection they use or does one do it from scratch as well? And dishes must sometimes go wrong. Does it always get fixed or do you have backup MAYDAY dishes? 4. Disaster chef stories. I'm sure every chef has their own "oh crap" story where everything went wrong or whatever. But hopefully in a humorous, not like a we killed our peanut allergy guest kind of story. 5. How are you always cool as a cucumber? It's hard getting all the people fed, every day, whilst using up the things going bad, and catering to everyone's food preferences. I think this could be a fun question for you and your chef friends. Anywho, looking forward to more videos. - Brooke from her land based "galley"
Love your channel and it’s true Paul seems more relaxed when you are on the bridge maybe Blair needs some tips😅 a chef question cast iron pans , nonstick or both be interested as a serious beginner to have your feedback. Glad to see ocd about clean shelves before repacking 😂. 🇿🇦😎
Originally started watching this channel because I wanted to learn more about yachting - stayed for Nina's energy, enthusiasm and awesomeness. Glad you're back, you inspire so much professional pride and I'm not even a chef!
Wow, The time lapsed food prep really shows how versatile and competent you are as a chef, not to mention how fresh the food is on Loon. Kudos to you!
As a chef, my favorite parts of Below Deck were always the cooking bits. So glad I found this. Can't wait to see what you're cooking next!
Yay I'm so glad you are here!
Exactly ❤those are my favorite parts too ha I don’t really care for the drama & the drinking lol

I agree totally with you. 👍🏻She is amazing🎉

Yes, I agree! Fancy shots are nice but I am here to see the daily grind! The intricacies and details of being a chef on a yacht are what fascinate me!
I have to say, You are the most impressive chef and so cheerful about it all.. It shows that you truly love what you do.!! And I have to add, so organized. There's a new job in your future ( I HOPE)...LOL

Awww thank you! Sometimes I feel a little bit cowboy doing it all myself but I'm so pleased you enjoy it.
So lovely to see you back Nina ❤

I never fully understood why I love those cooking and prep scenes that
fascinated me. Now I know... It's Nina that mesmerizes me!!
Not gonna lie, watching a head chef vacuum shelves to maintain cleanliness is professionalism!
Great job Nina. Must be lovely to see all the crew again in the beautiful Caribbean!
Oh, I’m so happy you’re putting videos up again. Congratulations for getting on the loon.
Lots of love from Colorado.
Welcome back, nice to see cheerful people enjoying their jobs.
Nice one Nina! Great to have you back onboard and creating delicious delights and amazing content 🛥️🥂

Fantastic video and great insight to what goes on behind the scenes. Outstanding drone footage too!
I have a hard enough time planning just for myself. I can’t really imagine the effort it takes you for the crew and the guests. Just brilliant.
I'm a pretty organized person, but watching her gives me anxiety that it would overwhelm me trying to be THAT organized.

So nice to have you back posting videos. Your positive energy is amazing. Love to see the incredible creations you come up with.
Busy, busy, busy. Chef Nina's a rock star.🥰

Dear Nina ❤ I love soooo much how You are excited about Your job. Your videous are true inspiration!
Epic video Nina ! Love having you onboard. Keep up the great work !
Definitely got the finger out doing the prep. Keep up the good work of a view of a different world.

You are a girl after my heart. I love a well organized pantry and kitchen in general. Makes life and cook so much more enjoyable.
Loon looks super cool on the side like that. Really puts its size into perspective.
Interesting looking how you organise your food - you keep it going girl !! give the the rich the best and the hard working crew the dregs!!!!!
You are a hard worker, I love your organizational skills! I wish I had your energy!!!

I completely agree on the restaurant store. I am the same way when I visit one and I only buy for my home kitchen, lol
Although having an alternating-chef arrangement is great because you get a lot of leave, one downside is that you have to keep on rearranging provisions to your liking if you come back and find them not in your preferred order.
I didn't know how big Loon is until the Nina's perspective from the dock.
She's a big girl!
Brilliant. Thanks, Nina.
Groovy episode.

Amazing how tidy the galley always is. And working on a charter boat is obviously a job for the young and energetic...
