RIP to the greatest voice of our generation!
Personally while different would put Scott Weiland up there along with Lyane Staley
Absolutely! Hearing of his passing was devastating to me. I didn’t believe it when I first heard. The greatest rock voice ever,in my opinion. RIP Chris, you will live forever with your music.
@@aaronnull6991 SCott is really underrated in general but especially in grunge. my third favorite grunge vocalist after Chris and Layne.
Absolutely... Gives me chills every time. He changed the game.
No one sings like him anymore…
The fact that Chris Cornell can sit there, legs crossed, seemingly relaxed and project his voice so perfectly and effortlessly is what’s truly amazing. I was a big fan of the song when Sinead O’Connor sang it, but Chris’ version is my favorite. And major thanks to Prince for such a terrific composition!
I had the privilege of seeing twice in Austin. I walked away from both of those concerts thinking how does Chris scream so well with so little effort. A true genius of voice control. I miss you Bro!
Opiates
My god you're a beautiful human being. Sure wish the world had more lights shining like yours. And great reaction as always.
Agreed, definitely sexy, (hair is sexy as well) !
@@Me-mr6sv Not what I meant at all. She's a beautiful person. I would not make such comments to someone I don't know.
@@Me-mr6sv lmao
@@thisistheyear99Most of us understand exactly what you meant even if these two idiots can't. And i agree with your sentiment. She does seem like a beautiful human being. That's why i enjoy some of her reactions. Have a good day.
@@MrJeddYoung 👏🏼 Thank you! 👊🏼 Have a great day too ✌🏼
Chris Cornell has been my favorite singer for 25 years. It hit me hard when he passed. It was hard to listen to him sing for a long time. GJ Miss u Chris
I understand your sentiments because when I lost my brother I could not listen to music for months
Same feeling
RIP Chris.....by far for years one of my favorite singers no matter what he sang
I"m with you. Devasted that he died 20 miles from my house 4 days and a year after my best friend, who introduced me to Chris Cornell and audioslave, also died.
My favorite as well!!!
Wow! Never heard this version by Chris. He had such a powerful and moving voice. It's an absolute tragedy that he is no longer with us. I hope he has finally found his peace.
You should hear his cover of Billie Jean as well
Check out his version of Metallica's One
Yeah, he was an amazing talent. I was fortunate enough to see him live when he was Audioslave. He had so much power in that voice.
@@donmilo502 the one where he mixes it with One by U2?
@@adognamedmiley6848 yeah
One of the most beautiful voices of his time of his generation…… when he passed away I felt like a page turned in my life… I grew up in the Grunge era and he was one of my heroes.
I feel really lucky that I grew up in the 90s…thank you so much for the ( sincerity) in your reacción
Easily the best version of that song... RIP Chris.
My favorite cover of all-time. Makes me tear up every damn time.
Chris Cornell is Beautiful. RIP.
Can you please check out Bon Iver and Taylor Swift “Exile” (Long Pond Studio Sessions) Beautiful video. Thank you!
Chris was my favorite vocalist i was in the studio playing " fell on black days " on guitar when i heard the news ..it was late at night..man it hit me like a ton off bricks..i had to walk out of the studio..his music meant so much to me..we miss you Chris..thank you for the music and to his family thank you for sharing him with us..and its true..NO ONE SINGS LIKE YOU ANYMORE..may you finally RIP 😔🙏
Damn! That voice bleeds right into the core of any living soul. I felt it.
Wow! This was my first time hearing this too. I've always admired Chris' voice. Just never heard him sing this song before. He had a way of conveying his every emotion through song, making the listener feel it in their very soul.
Sinead O'Connor's version is so passionate and the pain in her eyes in the video is a killer, but Chris's version takes my breath away with how achingly lost he sounds. Knowing he was battling inner turmoil and he lost that battle just makes this so bittersweet.
Cornell was great, but this is one cover you just can't compare.
Prince wrote it, Sinead O'Connor made it huge, many have covered it. Chris Cornell took it to another level as only he could do. JMHO. Best version ever!
Sinead O’Connor is the best version without question
And... what color is the sun in your world?
@@travisr4057 If you're responding to Allan, then he is right by a country mile. Chris did many great things, but she was untouchable covering this song!
@@beerthug As I said in the original post...JMHO. All like what they like, I dont judge. I should not have posted that comment, I dont attack others opinions.
Now go watch the video of Chris Stapleton singing it live at a concert.
RIP to the Legend. His voice was truly amazing. It's always the ones with the most demons. You can hear the pain in his voice when he sings
Legend for sure. RIP
Like a Stone, Outshined or Black Hole Sun. Chris Cornell was and is great.
Piercing voice, I always tear up when listening to Chris’s version of Nothing Compares 2 You”. Please also react to Temple of the Dog - “Say Hello 2 Heaven” and “Hunger Strike”.
How does or can someone Request You to review a song/video? Is it possible? or do you chose to review songs based on your choice alone?
"Say Hello 2 Heaven" is a museum work for his voice.
Discovered this vid and his voice shortly after he died...I've listened to this song 20 times back to back, soaking in every sound...and his voice, just amazing. I could live three lifetimes trying to perfect this song in such a way as this....he did it in one take......daymn girlfriend.....talent.
Hard to listen to this one, still. Feels like I'm mourning him still.
His voice was just incredible, haunting.
We're all still mourning him, prince, Whitney, Chester, etc.
Another fantastic reaction. Chris Cornell, one of the best rock voices of the generation. Some favorites of the bands he has been in: Audioslave - Like A Stone, Temple of the Dog - Say Hello 2 Heaven, Soundgarden - Burden in My Hand, and Chris Cornell - Seasons. Way too many to list, really.. LOL
Seasons is a great call.
Hunger Strike-Temple of the Dog
Written by the Late Great Prince ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Made Famous by Sinead O'Connor ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Hearts & Souls touched by Chris Cornell ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Once in a generation voice. Saw him many times with Soundgarden in the 90s, it's hard to express how utterly powerful his voice was live in a small club. It was almost ridiculous. RIP
You can check his cover of Micheal Jackson's Billie Jean. Chris puts his own touch to every song he covers
I saw a video of Chris interviewed on the Howard Stern Show talking about that cover, it was great!
Indeed so ...
Yesssss please 🙏
Yes!
yes!!!
Chris Cornell was a brilliant light taken from the world to soon. His voice and the vulnerability of it helped me get through high school in the '90s. I loved watching to you relate to him like I did for the first time, back in the day.
Chris Cornell R.I.P. was one of the best vocalist in music history......i miss him. Seeing him perform just brings tears to my eyes knowing the mental torture he was going through...Rest In Peace my Brother!
Well first off your hair looks beautiful as ever...'O connor' Prince, and Chris do this song justice...
R.I.P. to these amazing talented singers and performers...Hard to find people like these now days...Another awsome reaction keep on keeping on Royce ☮...❤...🙏...🥀
I never knew Chris had such a touching, haunting voice. This song had me in tears, and covered in goose bumps. Even though the message is intended for the loss of a girlfriend/boyfriend, it made me think of my son who unexpectedly left this earth in 2002 at the age of 21. Lord How I miss him, and definitely, nothing compares to him. . Music is for this soul, and this song is one that I love to hear over and over. I love your reactions, and your calm nature, very spiritual. God bless you.
Prince was a magician! we need him more than ever. Purple is the realest color
RIP to such a beautiful soul and voice! Great reaction.❤️
One of the best rock vocals in history and this song fits perfectly with Chris 🙏
I didn't see this cover until after he passed, made me cry. Still makes me tear up . He was amazing
Absolutely beautiful. The music, the man, the magic!
Chris Cornell is and has been for many many years, my favorite singer. His voice is perfect and it saddens me greatly that we will never hear any thing new from him. Your reaction to him and understanding of him impressed me quite a lot!
I can’t count the number of times I’ve listened to this performance. When he sings “all the flowers” It hits me so hard. I look around and make sure nobody sees me crying.
REST IN PEACE CHRIS! I HOPE THE HURT IS GONE NOW!!!
Widely considered on of the best rock voices out there....he fronted Soundgarden, Audio Slave as well as Temple of the Dog. His solo acoustic stuff is crazy good. He can cover anyone and anything. His covers of Led Zeppelin "Thank You" and Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" are out of this world. RIP to one of the greatest. If you want to start the waterworks...listen to his daughter Toni sing as a tribute to him.
Saw him 6 times total, 3 times acoustic and his voice left me speechless everytime. Last time I saw him solo, I was just really vibing. Might have help with some guinness, lol, but damn just sucha beautiful night. When his daughter toni came out to do redemption song, that moment is something I'll never forget. The videos of that cover don't do that moment justice.
Some talent is God given and divinely inspired. This performance reaches the soul. He did a cover of "Billie Jean" which was shockingly good. Who does that? He will always be missed.
Your reaction was lovely and sincere.
This GUY !! This Guy !! What a loss for us all. RIP Chris we miss you.
This man could literally sing ANYTHING and make it his own...SUCH AN AMAZING TALENT...
He was the voice of my generation. Between his voice, the lyrics and knowing we lost him... this video almost always brings me to tears 😭
#RIPCHRISCORNELL
Almost two years ago now, my husband passed away just one week after his 27th birthday. It was unexpected, to say the least. This has always been one of my favorite songs, and Chris Cornell has ALWAYS been one of my favorite singers….but this is literally the first time I’ve been able to bring myself to sit through listening to this song in it’s entirety since my husband died 😭 it’s so beautiful and honestly it was cathartic in a way to be able to listen to it again just now ❤️ thanks for sharing this video with us Rogue 🙌🏻
I am so sorry for your loss!
Unfortunately the brightest burning candles burn out twice as fast. Rest and rock in peace my friend.
Thanks i love this performance my he rest in peace
RIP to the greatest voice of our time it's hard to know what to say for words in I was crying I know Prince wrote it and after listening to it 10 or 15 times you can kind of hear Prince's writing style but it sounds like it was written for Chris Cornell the beauty in the song is unbelievable and that he could sing in every octave is amazing thank you for covering this reaction. ❤️
Just made a video for my sister that passed a few weeks ago and this was the last song 🎵 I used in the video . Powerful and sensitive in every way.
Everyone cried during the service.
I am very sorry for your loss!
He was brilliant. He left his mark. Beautiful reaction. ❤️
Chris was so talented... Soundgarden, Audioslave plus collabs with other artists... another one that thought this world was too hard to survive in... love your reaction!
What a voice! Gone way to soon. Love your reaction and your beautiful smile.👍😊
I LOVE the fact you recognize the string arrangements!!!! Cello 4 LIFE!!!
U can feel the pain. A shame Chris is gone. My ❤️ goes out.
Another Fantastic talent and great person Chris Cornell was. RIP.
By the way I love your channel and you style and presentation. 💯😎
I could listen to you talk all day long. It's like serotonin surrounded by amazing music
Aye!he is a God in music.i miss him
Check out Chris' acoustic version of "Like a Stone". I still can't listen to that without shedding a tear. Chris has an ability to evoke emotion and move you like not many people/things do.
Chris was one of my childhood heroes. Instead of friends I had tons of music and guitar, trying to learn to play and sing. Also reading about his problems was somehow... helpful, to know you can get through that, depression and all. So his death really hit me, since it was just a bit... too close to home.
Anyway, great reaction, I hope you'll discover more of his music.
Chris meant so much too me and I trust one day I’ll get to tell him. It broke my heart when he left us. Thanks for doing this young lady. ❤️😢🍀
We lost a unique treasure when he passed away. I grew up listening to everything he was involved in. I cried when I found out. This world is a lessor place without Chris.
Arguably a top 3 greatest cover and the most achingly beautiful sad song in the history of modern rock music.
Wow! You just made my #1 reaction channel!! Beautiful reactions
One of the great voices of all time. In any genre. R.I.P. Chris Cornell. Miss you, brother.
One of the greatest voices of all time. I still miss him greatly.
What separates you from the competition is your ability to feel music... that comes through and to the people who feel the same, we recognize immediately.!
So luv this song by Chris, simply Beautiful.
Seeing someone as beautiful as you reacting to this, only makes the music more powerful! Awesome reaction, my friend!
Chris Cornell was a great artist. I don't get emotional about many celebrity deaths, but his untimely demise hit me hard. It's a cliché, but you don't know what you have until it's gone, and the moment Chris Cornell left this earth we all lost.
Only a beautiful soul could express music the way that you do. YOUR VOICE SOUNDS LIKE COOL WATER ON A HOT SUMMER DAY
I miss Chris Cornell. The best. Great reaction.
Love that voice. Need a tour in any city, town, district in the WORLD. My God, this brother is giving me Joe Cocker, Chris Kristofferson, Charlie Pride, and a pinch of Janice Joplin chills. I refuse to watch this more than once a day. Prince would be happy about this performance.
AWESOME react Rogue.........thanx
Sitting down, legs crossed, playing guitar..
Yep, the classic position for achieving vocal perfection.
This is a true story.
When Rage Against The Machine broke up the instrumental members were a bit lost. The guitarist Tom Morello was talking to Rick Rubin (that's the musical equivalent of talking to Martin Scorsese) about what to do next. Rick suggested they talk to Chris since Soundgarden had recently broke up Tom agreed... The rest is Tom's words.
"Chris lived well out of LA, an hour and a half at the end of this cul-de-sac rising up on a hill. Chris's house was at the end at the top of the hill, almost like a Grimm's fairy tail.
We walked up to the house as the sun was setting. We knocked on the double door and it opened... Both sides... There was no one there.
We walked in and immediately at the top of this winding staircase at the entrance Chris slowly walked down. 6 foot 3, skinny and dark of countenance.
Rick looked at me and said "let's get the f$#k out of here". But I stayed.
We all made 3 records I'm very proud of"
Heres another little tid bit. Tim Commerford, the bassist for Rage Against The Machine once was in an interview talking about Chris’ lyrics for their Audioslave song called Like A Stone. Tim said he asked Chris “i’ll wait for you there (like a stone)?” “What is it that you’re waiting for.” Tim said Chris just looked at him and said “to die.” Tim was blown away by this. He didnt realize at first how deep Chris Cornells lyrics were.
@@B-Killin that doesn't surprise me. Chris was above all else, authentic. Like a lot of guys try to make harsh songs with dark or disturbed lyrics just to make that kind of music. With Chris it was who he was. He was dark and he found many things disturbing.
Awesome reaction !!! you are beautiful as well.
Stumbled across your wonderful reactions last week. You are a breath of fresh air and I look forward to each and every one. Your joy is exactly why I love music so much. Good music is spiritual.
I miss Chris the man music saved my life when i was in a dark place i am happy more people are finding his music
And yes... Mama your hair is Truly beautiful. I ain't even gonna start on those eyes and smile...
God bless Prince. Such a gift to us all.
his voice is so beautiful! He seemed like such a gentle and kind spirit . May he Rest In Peace.
RIP TO THE LEGEND THAT IS CHRIS CORNELL!!!!!!!!
I just want to hold your hand when watching you react to certain songs. You are light!
You know dear, your appreciation for this is actually more beautiful than you are. And that is very high praise.
That voice will always find your hidden emotions
Great reaction. He definitely does a great cover of this song it’s very impressive.😀👍❤️✌️🌼
Chris Cornell was a poet black hole sun like a Stone. Fell on black days.
I noticed you were missing SRV Stevie Ray Von in your playlist.. who I feel is one of the greatest blues guitarist to have ever lived... he has done several covers of a few Hendrix songs plus many of his own that I believe will take your breath away.. my favorite " Life Without You " live Capital Theatre NJ 9-21-85 was very special . if you watch closely in the very beginning of the song he breaks a string and changes guitars...the guitar they give him was the guitar his friend for whom that very song was written for.. gave him...and also very special because it was the last show ever performed at that venue and I was 2nd row center stage with my best friend celebrating my 16th Birthday
and in the song he says to his friend..... THANK YOU... FOR ALL THE LOVE YOU PASSED OUR WAY
that was also engraved on Stevie's headstone marker
Tracey Chapman, and Partridge family songs....very nice.
Love ur rxns !
You have just experienced the greatest rock voice of GenX!!!
As I watched your face listening to this song, I know my expressions mirrored yours. Even though I have heard this over a hundred times….if you felt it anything like I did…Wow!
I love that that you just react and don’t pause forever! You’re my favourite reaction person as of now! And you should do Cranberries - Linger
I have watched this at least a dozen times and I cry every time. What a tremendous loss.
There will never be another Chris Cornell 💔
He’s right “nothing compares to you”…
rip. a true legend. so many bands, so many songs.
Great reaction!!!!! Been waiting for more teddy swims. Please do (Make you feel my love) thanks
Great emotive version sung beautifully, i like all versions of this song it's just one of those songs, if your feeling blue and melancholy with the rain hitting the window and it's just one of 'those' days this is the song.
I’ve been subscribed for a minute now, and I have been remiss to mention how drop dead beautiful you are! Your soul is a shining lighthouse in this dark world, too. I think that this is what resonates with me the most! Ghuuurrrrl, you gonna make this blue eyed soul brother start buying you coffee! Love this cover by the way, and your reaction!
So beautiful. The song and the girl reacting!
My lady Rogue, my reaction was the same as yours. Again love your way your honesty, you rock.Thank you so much, peace love to you as well
RIP Chris. We still miss you.
He is and was my favorite singer!
Best version of this song- never heard it before...thank you for presenting it.
