I have been married to the love of my life for 34 years. She has been fighting stage 4 breast cancer for 5 years now. The cancer is back and has now spread to her bones. I sing this song to her and tell her to fight because I don't want to be a one-man band. She is doing her best!
Update - we met with her Oncologist yesterday. She loves going to the gym to workout. Doctor advised no more workouts. Cancer is creating fracture in the spine. She does not have pain. We are praying radiation and new drugs will slow the spread so we can enjoy a little more time together. She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. My advice...thank God for everyday you have together because one day it will be your last, never go to bed mad at each other, hold her close and dance with her everyday.

I lived in California my WHOLE life, two years ago I moved to Georgia.. whenever I hear this song it reminds me of the trip my whole family made to Lake Murray in South Carolina.. my buddy flew out here from California.. we rented a nice lake house and we played this on the boat! I lost my grandma last night, this was her favorite song and I’ve found myself thinking of it all day. She was diagnosed with cancer about the same time this song came out and she listened to it all the time. We would sing it in the car, the kitchen, even just sitting on the porch. It was a bit of a surprise last night since we thought we had a few more weeks with her, it’s been a hard day. She started living with my family and I in November of 2019 and so seeing all her things has made it so much harder. I know things are gonna get better but right now things are just really hard, thanks for letting me think of her in a good light for a few minutes listening to her song. 💕
