Vijay Devarakonda has to blame himself for his downfall. After Arjun Reddy, he is just selecting bad commercial routine scripts. His attitude towards first time directors changed. All of a sudden he is not willing to go by his gut feel and selecting "SAFER" scripts. He thinks he has become a star and wants to give his fans what they might want. Rather than selecting the script which he likes or which gets him excited. It's time to change people around him during script selection.

I simply think he started considering himself a star than an actor. You could see that by the choice of films, he actually has the guts to make bets on these movies too. He must understand that he is still getting offers because of the Arjun Reddy fame and if doesn't go back to his roots and pick sensible stories he will definitely fade away. Arrogance has seeped in brother for akshay kumar, with his contemporaries from the 90s are banking huge 💵 with great concepts and stories, akshay is still playing the same violin on how he treats this job like a 9 to 5 IT associate, he sleeps at 9o clock and doesn't endorse protein shakes... At one point we thought he a level headed with his fame but I had one question.. Maine tujhse pucha ? Tu kab sotha hai, kab hagtha kab rota hai, tere bete ke baare mein bhi maine kuch nhi pucha, phir bhi usse topic me laya... I think he should realize by this time that his shelf life is only on the silver screen , not in your ad films, not your endorsement, the clothes nothing.. Stay in ad films, because I have seen far more originality in them compares to his big screen remake factory. He has literally butchered every single original IP and he cries in interviews on why he gets hate and scrutiny for doing his jobs. But you are making audiences lose their faith on you.. Woh agar theatre naa ayein na, toh legacy reputation ko bolo bye bye, aap raat ko 9 kya 8 baje bhi so jao, hame koi farak nhi padega

I hear you but these movies exist because SRK tried to experiment with them. However, the lack of support shown to these films will obviously push him to do movies like Pathaan whether you like it or not.
For example the movie "Fan" was phenomenal in terms of acting, the story and the message it wanted to portray. It was the first of it's kind in Bollywood, having a 'fan' serve as an antagonist. It portrayed the feeling of betrayal the fan felt ,his obsession and revenge.
Along with the terror the 'star' felt his irritation with obsessive and needy fans, his determination to save his family and at one point the helplessness he felt.
All of these were beautifully portrayed, yet it was ultimately a box office failure.
If you want films like these perhaps start watching them in theatre.
People generally don't support a movie when someone's experimenting and then complain about the saturation of genre and lack of innovation in the cinema industry.

Imo, VDK's career choices are a combination of everything. Dear Comrade's failure made him choose Liger ( Commercial mass genre). Liger's failure made him choose feel good romcom films ( Kushi, Family star) which also failed. His offscreen attitude doesn't help either because that attitude requires strong scripts. Mediocre scripts will only bring heavy trolls. Maybe for someone like Nani, Kushi/Family star would have been Average at BO because of his offscreen attitude. VDK saw early fame, continuous hate from a few major star heroes fans, offscreen attitude, over estimation of his BO pull and so on. All these are the reasons for his downfall. Idea: The evolution of Katrina Kaif. She has one of the most interesting journeys, and I think a lot of criticism she gets for her acting ability is from people who aren't familiar with her entire filmography or who don't understand film and performance arts. She's done justice to so many roles:
    Jazz from Namastey London
    Maya from New York
    Sophia in Race
    Jenny from APKGK
    Dimple from MBKD
    Zoya in The Tiger Trilogy
    Laila in ZNMD
    Firdaus in Fitoor
    Babita Kumari in Zero
and her recent performance in Merry Christmas.
She did justice to all of these characters and what they were meant to be...but because she doesn't have big, teary, sorrowful eyes she's often written off...and let's not forget also being written off because she's supposedly only successful "because of Salman" or because she's fair.

@@Thatonlyone678 I live in gulf. And trust me I've got a lottttt of south indian frnds here. And they love the film. Stereotypical jokes are fun tbh until you're not hurting someone's feelings. Like in Dostana also all the gay jokes were damn stereotypical. But they were still extremely funny. I haven't heard of anyone criticizing the jokes of that film. I myself know 2,3 gay ppl who love that film. Stereotypical jokes aren't always bad.

I consider Chennai Express to be one of those "it worked because it was at the right time". otherwise its a borderline cringe movie, its plagued with the same issues and tropes that commerical movies of nowadays are going through.. and Deepika's fake accent makes me puke, idk why didn't they instead went for a popular south actress. like the movie's whole central theme is literally about north meets south, so north's biggest male star acting opposite to south's biggest female star would've made perfect sense. Instead they had a actress with a fake accent on

Tiger Shroff should just stop acting, all together!
Akshay needs to take a break and reevaluate before signing anymore projects!

The "rule" is probably a big word now!! He should change his attitude and story selection if he needs to survive in the industry!! He had a chance of ruling the Indian cinema industry and it is over now.. he has to start with zero now and should be very careful in choosing his scripts!! We wish him good luck!!

I think you totally missed Nivin pauly.. Last 7 or 8 films of his bombed.. Eventhough there are critically acclaimed films like 'moothon'... a star who once competed with big M s with his audience support is now struggling.. The only relief was 'varshangalkku sesham' but that too was a mediocre film.. Waiting for his comeback...

I feel Anubhav Sinha is the best example of Revival from the movie jail. Failing to deliver a blockbuster with SRK at his peak, a whopping 130cr budget (a huge deal for the era), the greatest indian production team, a rising genre and so much anticipation is basically a one shot death to any director's career. But coming back with his best works like article 370 post that and establishing a brand for himself deserves respect

Never.. it was him who created more haters than the fans/audience!! Where are you when Geetha Govindam and Arjun Reddy are blockbusters of him!! United support is given from every audience across India.. to be more honest he had a huge chance to be a pan India superstar status with Taxiwala, Nota, Dear comrade, world famous lover and Liger.. he mis utilized the given chances.. Taxiwala is a semI hit. NOTA is a good attempt. I agree that dear comrade is a better project but due to the length of the movie and the slow narration made it flop.. world famous lover is a disaster and crap!! Liger is a waste of resources and a great chance to be a pan indian star.. his graph came down from the highest point to the lowest point.. whatever the hate he is getting from the Telugu audience is because of routine acting by choosing the scripts where attitude plays a major role than the story!! After the failure of liger he changed his style and tried 2 movies like kushi and Family star.. Kushi is an average film and the family star is below average..! If he focuses on his story selection, he will gain what he lost!! Just need a proper planning on his career than the unwanted attitude which is being treated as arrogance from the audience point of view!!
So we wish him good luck for His film with Gautam Tinnanuri.. hope Vijay will not influence Gautam unlike he did with Kranthi Madhav during world famous lover! Because Gautam Tinnanuri is one of the upcoming promising directors we have!!!
