Mwanza City (Rock City) is a port city on the shore of Lake Victoria, in northern Tanzania. It's ringed by green hills. They city is known for unusual rock formations like Bismarck Rock, near the Kamanga Ferry Terminal. In the center of town are colonial buildings like the crumbling hilltop Dr. Robert Koch's House. The 1935 Indian Public Library, mosques and Hindu temples reflect Indian influence. The Makoroboi area is full of shops.

That rock is called " Bismack Rock". That rock though has been there for thousands of years, but it was named after the German who claimed to have been the first man to discover the rock. It is disheartening me when we Africans have continued to use the Europian names for the things that are in Africa claimed to be discovered by Europians. Example the name of the Lake Victoria was named after the Queen Victoria of England. But the original name of the lake is NYANZA.
I never understand why!
I do agree with u guyz on positivity about mwanza,,,but paty Uganda is best second none in the region...Most of the developments u see came into reality during Magufuli's tenure...R.I.P Magu....

It is... there's a lot of difference in American English. Spelling, pronunciation , vocabulary and phrases even formatting dates.
