  • Putting a Sur Ron 60V Battery In a Segway X160! WILL IT WORK?!
Testing an X160 controller with a 60V battery! This could be a cheap alternative to more power and cost savings when buying a Sur Ron S or Segway X160. We have been riding the bike for about 3 weeks now with no issues at all! Although it has less power than a Sur Ron X it is still a great upgrade, and noticeably different when comparing to a stock 48V X160.

I've swap S 48V controller which I was using with 60V custom battery to X 60V controller but I can't see difference. There should be torque and speed increase but bike is behaving same way. Ant BMS is also showing that it Takes only 60A while it should reach at least 80A now. Is there any programming needed?

Awesome video just subbed! So what I'm hearing is the x160/ x260 /surron motors are all the same even tho they "say" one motor is bigger then the other? I have the x160 and all I would have to do is upgrade the battery and sprocket size and I would be going as fast as a x260 basically? From what I understand the controller upgrade from x160 to Surron x would be a waste of money because its the same.. so all in all just the battery swap and the sprocket swap and I would have speeds of x260 correct ?

The test wasn’t necessarily done correctly. I have both. The speedometer is calibrated differently from the stock Surron. Also the sprocket is much larger. The controller has no impact on anything. If u swap the 19inch wheels and sprocket from the x260 to the x160 along with the battery the top speed will be exactly the same. You’ll need to use a gps app to confirm because again the speedometer is calibrated for the much larger stock sprocket
