Sage didn't tell Homelander that he couldn't defeat himself, just that there's one person he can't defeat. I don't know that Sage is one to speak so allegorically. She quite literally instructs The Deep to lobotomize and stab her. My guess? Ryan or Solider Boy? Maybe even Neuman?
Neuman is the highest on my list, second to Black noir.

Also also… Neuman dies next episode. Her character is in too much turmoil.
She is hinting at the fact that with her plan, she would make Ryan and Homelander rule together, but Homelander on his own will distance Ryan and will be his own worst enemy as all he knows is terrorise and kill. This is similar to what S Sage told Homelander when they first met, that even if he conquered the world, he still wouldn’t be happy
I think Sage may have decided that if the steaks are global domination then she’s going to join this Game of Thrones for herself so when it’s all said and done, she can win, and then she can fix all the things that are supposedly unfixable like global warming and curing cancer and ending world, hunger, and poverty and famine and genocides, and all sorts of other big issues that allegedly have no solution. She’s the smartest person on earth if anyone can figure it out it should be her. Or perhaps she doesn’t care if the world she ends up ruling is a dystopian nightmare as long as she is the despot in charge of the hellscape.

The craziest thing about this show is it plays out more like a documentary than a satire.
It's like they're replicating the last 4-6 years and also showing us our future.
This episode legit got me convinced that Deep and Noir 2 are gonna have some kinda comedic death scene together as Bros even tho Deep will have a better death being killed by his fish buddies.
She got Hughie’s dna up inside her so maybe that gave her his memory of password like she did Starlight memories

One thing I've been speculating but haven't seen anyone talking about is...I'm wondering if they will keep the comic ending and have the new black noir killing homelander because we know he can fly. But don't really know anything else about his power set. What if he's close to homelanders powers? We don't know his origins or anything. Vought could have made him special. Like they did with homelander.

Great episode and recap. I think the shapeshifter plays a big role in Sage & Neuman’s plans. I thought it was an absolutely cool way to show case the shapeshifter’s power by it ripping off its skin to change.
I also believe the SS kills the president. This is why we see Starlight and Hughie potentially on the run.

The episodes are so much linked to history if one is aware. The russians in the 20th century were just like the avenue cartoon show. You could only travel cities using visas. Your friends or family members could report you to government if you say anything against it and the same day you end up in jail without any warrant. Brilliant show

Erik and his writing team have become predictable and boring at this point. I don't care if I'm watching a pro-Christian movie/show or a so-called pro-Gay movie/show. I can enjoy anything unless it gets preachy, and the agenda goes above the storytelling. Sadly, I think the Boys was starting to cross that line in season 3 but they went next level this season. Putting aside the politics, the writing and characters in general have declined overall.
