- Hi Guys so as lovely as the MSC Seaview is we are certainly ready to explore a new place and get off and stretch our legs.
So today we are docked up in Marseille, France where we explore this beautiful city and try some delicious French Pastries. We also head to the The Palais Longchamp which is a must-see in Marseille with a beautiful surrounding park, this historical monument was built to bring water to the city and is a true architectural achievement.

So it's time to get off the ship in beautiful Marseille. So that means eating more food as usual and someone gets annoyed with the queue for the bus 🤣
Notre Dame- means Our Lady, so is the name of lots of cathedrals in France. Of course we think of the one in Paris.

Fab vlog again you two. Good tip about costing up taxis as I have heard that the buses are not that good of an experience. Did smile when the rant warning popped up 😂 but as rants go Kev, I think you should try harder 😆
Haha thanks so much and Stacey was too embarrassed for me to say more 🤣 think she would of walked off. Was a right pain though, the moaning carried on after the camera cut with words too explicit for youtube!!

Lovely tour of Marseille, Kev and Stacey. Looks like a lovely town, but the food? He spoke Italian, she spoke French and you speak English. Could you just point to the wonderful pastry and hope you get enough? Sounds like that's what you did and it all worked out. It looked delicious. Sadly, I'm watching in the morning with peanut butter toast in the house. ☹☹ The "Notre Dame was impressive up on the hill. Loved all the architecture! The wait for buses would be annoying but had enough pastry been purchased it would ease the wait!😊😊Thanks for the beautiful tour!
It was when we were trying to get a smaller weight of the pastry lol. There's nothing wrong the peanut butter toast, so long as its got grape jelly on it 😁

Nice Video, I love it ;) Bolt exist in the UK but it's cheaper in Marseille. And I live in London but I am from Marseille originally, here in London there are some dodgy parts too, Peckham, Croydon, Woodgreen etc. You sound like you're from Manchester. Am I right? I am so glad you've enjoyed your stay

Our 1st port is Marseille… I’m thinking of just staying on the ship for a pool and cocktail day now 😂
Just a tip. Marseille is ALOT nicer than Genoa and Messina if they are on your itinerary. Genoa for us was the worst place on our trip, nothing there worth getting off the boat for really unless theres a specific trip you want to do
Do you typically just do your own thing when in port or do you book excursions with cruise line or outside operators?
Hi it depends really each port is different, sometimes we're just happy to walk round the place we get off at and others we explore further afield and do an Excursion
No oatcakes then. Should try caribean 👍

Just back from 2 weeks on the Virtuosa. Between Southampton Port and my Cabin door a wheel was torn off my main suitcase, this also left a gaping hole in it. Customer services were awful, initially offering £50 on board credit. When I turned it down the Woman I spoke to crossed her arms, sucked on her teeth and called a supervisor. Eventually got £80 on board credit and was told I would have to get off at a Port of call and buy a new suitcase at my expense [97 Euros]. No offer of recompense, not even an apology. Worst CS I have ever come across from any Company I have ever dealt with. Had intended to take advantage of onboard discount and book my next Cruise with them, needless to say I didn't. MSC are the Ryan Air of the Seas. Next Cruise will be with P&O. Would rather pay a bit extra than have them take the pi$$ again. This was my Second Cruise with MSC, doubt there will be a Third.
We've been lucky we haven't experienced any if this from MSC but can see why like yourselves if you have it would put you off going with them again

This cruise will be a different experience than sailing with brits on Virtuosa, get ready for plenty of rude people and pushing in cues 🤷🏻♂️ , European cruise’s are like this a even worse from Italy I’m afraid 😳
