I think it’s important to normalize and talk about infertility, because the more we are able to, the less lost we can all feel, and people who have had the good fortune to have not gone through it can better support those who are. I dealt with this with my husband for 7 years and we had felt so alone in the process. I really appreciate that you are being so open about this.

I'm an IVF mama, needed IVF to get my first beautiful baby and I want you to know that as someone who had primary infertility, your secondary infertility doesn't matter any less. That desire to have a baby, whether it be a first or a second is so all consuming and soul tearing and that doesn't change based on when your infertility happens. Its not any less valid because you already have a sweet girl. I'm wishing you guys all the hope and love and success in your IVF process. I hope you have all the support you need! 💕🤗

I think infertility is much more common than people think. Thank you for being open and sharing your experience and knowledge. I love how at every step, your story is so relatable to normal people. My husband and I had been TTC for 3 years when his general doctor suggested getting his levels tested. He was told his testosterone levels were a bit low and the doctor put him on a cycle of Clomid for 90 days. He was retested after the 90 days and his levels had doubled. Then, three months after the cycle ended, I had a positive pregnancy test! I am currently 22 weeks! 🙏 Just putting that out there in case it may help someone! I personally had not heard of men taking Clomid. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Thank you both for sharing your journey. I stumbled upon your channel a couple months ago and your videos have been so helpful!

I’m 36 weeks pregnant after doing 3 rounds of IVF. We were initially diagnosed with male factor, then after 2 failed FETs did an ERA and found bacteria in my lining. Did 2 weeks of oral antibiotics and the next FET was a success! IVF was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, both physically and emotionally, but it sounds like you have the best team around you! My tip for the IM progesterone is to buy some lidocaine spray and use that and an ice pack for 3-5 minutes before the injection. Makes it WAY more tolerable! Good luck!!

I have stage 4 endometriosis, had Excision surgery in 2019, & a hellacious recovery. I did IVF to conceive mine & my wife’s daughter. I remember that first injection like it was yesterday. I was SO NERVOUS! My hands were trembling & I reread the instructions like 5 times I spent 30 min the 1st time.
IVF feels so medical, calculated, vulnerable…. I tried to bring some warmth into the process by taking time to stretch, meditate, spend time outside every day, go on walks, & do anything to relax as much as possible. I really think it helped a lot. I’m rooting for you guys! Do not feel guilty! ❤️

Unexplained infertility is so taxing and I am so grateful you are both sharing this experience. I had 2 MMC within 4 months last year and I actually started watching your videos when I found out I was pregnant the first time. Since then I have been through every test under the sun, given countless blood samples, genetic testing, pathology of D&C tissues, thrombophilia panel, with the ultimate answer being “bad luck”. IVF isn’t even on the table for me because I’m getting pregnant easily, just not able to stay pregnant past the 6-7 week mark. I am currently giving my body a break for a little bit and giving my heart some time to heal but I just wanted to let you both know how much I appreciate you sharing this journey. It doesn’t matter if it is your first baby, second baby, or fifth baby! Infertility can feel so isolating at times and I really wish that more people shared their roads to pregnancy and motherhood that aren’t easy and straightforward, especially when they aren’t all sunshine and roses! It’s comforting to know other couples are out there and you aren’t alone 💖. Wishing you both so much luck on this IVF journey and I am excited to follow along!

My husband and I just booked a consultation at a fertility clinic. This entire time I keep thinking "what if we just haven't been trying long enough" or "we've just been unlucky so far." Your video helped make me realize that if you're seeking help in your situation, that it's probably not too early for us to seek help too.
I'm 32 and my husband's 38. We've been trying for just about two years. When we first started trying, I was spotting heavily every day but not ovulating or getting a period, and it took a few months to figure out it was a thyroid issue and to get it under control. So I was like, those months shouldn't count toward trying because I clearly had a treatable issue. When it was controlled, my spotting stopped and I was back to having a period every 35-50ish days (which was the norm for me). When a year has gone by, I was like, well technically we only tried seven times so we didn't "actually" try for a year. Then I got put on letrozole. I had a chemical pregnancy my second letrozole cycle-so I was like, well technically I did conceive within 12 cycles so I'm still normal. After that, I got COVID around ovulation. Cycle after that, my husband got COVID around ovulation. We still did home insemination during those months, but I kept being like, should we even count those months toward our months of trying? It's been a mental struggle to come to terms with the idea of actually seeking help.

Thanks for being open and sharing. My IVF baby is 2 weeks old. I'm head over heals in love with her! It was the best decision we ever made. I wish the stigma of IVF would go away. It's like society thinks if you can't conceive naturally then you don't deserve a baby. Ridiculous! Or that it's "fate." We should be taking fate and our happiness into our own hands, not listening to others. One thing you could mention to people is that IVF is way less expensive in Europe and Mexico. That is how we were able to afford it. Again, best decision ever.

I was not prepared to feel what I am feeling watching this video. I have unexplainable POV diagnosed at 34. For 10 years we tried everything to get pregnant until we went down the donor route and are now blessed with a son who just turned one. We have also started laying down the foundation for transfer #2 and seeing you prepare for the shot took me back to that moment when I started mine. Its a roller coaster of emotions and even though we may have loving partners, its a lonely one at times. I wish you the best and look forward to your update.

Really appreciate the vulnerability you showed during this episode. Specially the part when Sarah was applying the medication on herself. Loved getting to see your first impressions and the "I'm afraid" part, as a reminder that we're all figuring it out, and that's okay. Sorry you had struggles to get pregnant with baby number two, though. Hopefully everything will be fine looking forward ♥

Sarah, you are a clear perfectionist who sets high standards for yourself. I recognize it because I’m the same way and I’m working on not being so hard on myself through therapy. I often get told to “give myself some grace” which is waaayyy easier said than done. This isn’t your fault regardless of your profession. Please know that you’ll have your beautiful 2nd baby and that both of your children are lucky to have you as their mom. Be nice to yourself, you deserve it. 💙💙

I currently have a 7 week old daughter thanks to IVF. I wish you both lots of love as you embark on this process. I spent a few years undergoing IUIs and lesser procedures, and was lucky that my first frozen embryo transfer with IVF stuck. I felt ALL of the emotions during this process (hope that it would work, resentment that I had to undergo IVF when other women did not, sadness for what might never be, and even some relief that I was at the end of my infertility journey no matter the outcome). Saying that it's a rollercoaster of emotions is an understatement. Thank you so much for your honesty and willingness to share, you will absolutely help other couples!

I started following you when I found out I was pregnant (around 4-5 weeks) and am now 24 weeks 🥰 this is my first pregnancy and feel sooo lucky we got pregnant wishing 2 months of trying. I just turned 35, making me “high risk”
We want to try for our second baby as soon as we feel mentally and physically ready. This is so helpful and hope we are able to get pregnant again naturally because we don’t have the resources for IVF 🙏🏼❤️

I found your channel after having my daughter, and it's been invaluable while learning to be a new parent. Thank you so much for that. But your bravery and honesty in this video and the one about infertility basics really hit home. We went through 5 miscarriages, then 6 rounds of IUI, and finally IVF using donor eggs. I'm certain it's still terribly hard to go through, even being experts, and having all the answers and care at your fingertips. Please know that your kindness in sharing your story is helping people. All the best thoughts and wishes to you guys, and little Cece.

So much respect for you guys, so sorry you've had to go down this road but way to do with with so much self-reflection, grace and openness. So massively impressed with your acknowledgement of your own privilege to access treatment and a shout-out that secondary infertility can be challenging for people who are experiencing primary infertility to deal with as a subject. As someone still working towards having their first LC i've sometimes found conversations around secondary infertility really difficult to listen to, but you've approached this in such a thoughtful way. Wishing you success in growing your family. ❤️

Thank you so much for being so open and for sharing your story. I have loved watching your videos in the hopes I would soon be pregnant, but my husband and I have been trying since September 2020 for our first (with an HSG, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy for endo and 4 IUIs) and finally made the decision to start IVF. This video just happened to post on my egg retrieval day, and while your heartache is clear, I know I am not the only one who truly appreciates the wealth of knowledge combined with the raw human experiences y’all share with us ❤️ sending you all the best and hoping we will both be welcoming little ones next year ❤️

Love that you two are so real with this experience. Infertility simply sucks! Please don’t ever be afraid to show and explain your emotions about this process; the fear, the pain, and the guilt. Also, the connection you can build with your partner. I believe it will help to make it less taboo. Infertility momma right here to a beautiful baby boy. We just have to fight a little bit more for our babies, and you really don’t get it unless you unfortunately have to go through it.🥰

Great job! Giving yourself the shots is absolutely terrifying. I can't imagine trying to film it too. Its nice to see even medical professionals get nervous too. Giving yourself a shot is a lot harder. You did great!! Also, my follistim just had the pen, no cartridge but same set up. It was just a multi dose pen that was done after you exhausted the pen contents. An option for your viewers to ask their pharmacy which is available to them and what they prefer.
