I have to agree, but what I love is that she is a female low register singer. Women that song low register just don’t get enough credit! For whatever reason, it’s all about singing High to the majority and I just don’t get it! You know how unique it is to find women tenors?!?! I’m sure you know. I’m just speaking in general cause I bet you know music!
I have heard Toni sing “You Mean The World To Me” and she made it Gospel; she let loose ALL the way on it!!!! I’ll see if I can find the clip; it was from when she had the Vegas show.

Okay everyone putting their critiques here I’ll do the same:
Tamar - Solid soprano. Amazing singer. Can hit them super high notes with precision and greatness. Love her attitude about singing she seems to really enjoy singing with her sisters and has the most fun when they sing together.
Trina - Underrated singer. Too bad she prefers to sing pop cuz she actually is arguably the best soul r&b singer of the 5 IMO hands down.
Towanda - Nice alto. I know she likes the 2nd lowest note in the harmony before Toni but her low end alto seems to be the glue that holds the sound together. I think she should sing lead more but I know she likes to just sing harmonies. I can tell she’s a much better lead singer than she probably thinks.
Traci - She can sing but you can tell she seriously has stage fright and she keeps looking at her sisters when she sings. She wants to have a solo career she needs to be the alpha female on stage like Tamar is cuz she has potential to stand out like her.
Toni - Good god Toni I love her. I’m a huge fan of her solo stuff. Have been since I was a very small kid. However, when the other 4 sing it’s like she’s so out of place and their unity without her makes it clear she’s better as a solo artist by this point in their lives. What’s crazy is I think she knows it too.
That’s just how I feel, just like the rest of you. Wish at least the other 4 would get together and do a Braxton’s album.

@@maganblair2005 Thank you girl. I’m a vocal coach part time, actually. It’s weird cuz I’m a Registered Nurse full time so it’s two totally different things. Haven’t had time to do the coaching thing in quite some years, especially now with the nursing part taking up all my time, but when I hear this kind of talent, i love to break it down, no matter how gorgeous it sounds sometimes. I’m a decent baritone who can do bass too but I love music anywhere. Hope you’re stayin safe and the stresses of what’s been goin on in the world hasn’t gotten a lot of people to turn on you. It’s happened to me several times that’s why I’m askin lol

Toni's vocals is unique and different and why she was so mainstream big successful.
Tamar had that same 'IT' thing as why she was successful with her music. Other 3 sisters are good as well but Toni and Tamar had that mainstream IT appeal that the other sisters just didnt have like that. Toni and Tamar will always be the most known like Michael and Janet of the Jackson siblings!

Tamar is loud and has great range but she has poor vocal technique and control. Toni is an excellent vocalist who knows HOW to sing..
how to use her voice as an instrument. There's a difference between a singer and a vocalist. Some people are both and some are just singers. Tamar is just a singer IMO.
