That was their last big hit from their final N01 studio album THE VISITORS.OFU hit the top 3 in UK(world's most important pop music market along with the USA)and No1 in Germany ,both Europe's biggest markets.Both couples were divorced while this was in the making and recording music together wasn't that fun since then.We older fans felt that The band was heading near its final days.Besides- at this specific time in the music scene- there was a culture,a feeling that everyone should wave goodbeye to the '70s for good.Despite unfair critical voices and humiliation from part of the music press, Abba left a terrible gap after they had split.Their silence was getting 'defeaningly' louder n louder as years went by.People that grew up with their music, were already emotionally and deeply attached to them .We may moved to other acts but WE JUST COULDN'T FORGET THEM!Time proved that their absence had caused such a drought in the musicverse that they were bound to come back sooner or later due to huge,may i say 'desperate' public demand one way or another.Finally after various repetative revivals from the early '90s and ever after,they came backTHEMSELVES with the VOYAGE era,just they way they are....Beautifuly aged, with wisdom and humbleness but so whoheartedly welcomed and adored.They were Irreplacable even after 40 years of hiatus.

there is much to say about
"One of us" (1981)
1) It is a beautiful song, it has a soft melody and melancholic lyrics that allow Agnetha to shine with a very sweet voice, and a catchy and harmonic chorus
2) was ABBA's last big hit until their breakup, #1 in several European countries and #3 in the UK (last Top 10 of their 18 in a row between 1975/1982)
3) recorded at the end of 1981, the two couples were already separated (Agnetha & Björn almost 3 years ago, Benny & Frida a few months ago)
4) the official video is very good, it shows Agnetha (with a more mature beauty) acting sober and convincing rebuilding a love life from a move
5) In my opinion it is together with "Slipping through my fingers" the best song from the album "The Visitors" , where the melancholy and rawness of their lyrics is most pronounced in the context of a complex album of musical exploration away from ABBA's signature pop, and an image of the four singles over the two couples
now I suggest You go to another way, two greatest worldwide hits and beautiful ballads pop:
"Fernando" (1976) or
"Chiquitita" (1979)

Thanks for the ABBA. No one can do that sad voice like Agnetha. Pretty sure this was their last big hit until their "Voyage" reunion. Benny/Bjorn knew how to write the perfect songs for both girls, they knew then so well. And the girls were the perfect voices for each work. So glad they got together for one last time. And the magic is still their. They weren't touring by this point and they were all divorced by this point too. Thats why you can't find a live clip.
